The most precious thing in the world is honesty.
Literally speaking, "sincerity" means honesty and trustworthiness. Confucius said, "People without faith don't know what they can do." . So when it comes to "honesty", many people think it is a moral issue, and honesty is only the basis for a person to settle down in society. However, in a market economy society, morality and interests often coexist. No matter a person or a place, paying attention to moral integrity can often get rich economic benefits; On the contrary, it will not only be condemned by morality and severely punished by law, but also be more difficult to obtain long-term economic benefits. As far as the importance of honesty is concerned, it should be exaggerated to say that "honesty is gold".

The story about honesty happened in Yan Shu, a poet in the Northern Song Dynasty. Yan Shusu is famous for his honesty. At the age of fourteen, he was recommended to the emperor and became a child prodigy. The emperor summoned him and asked him to take the exam at the same time with more than 1000 Jinshi. As a result, Yan Shu found that she had just practiced the exam ten days ago, so she truthfully reported to Zhenzong and asked to change other topics. Song Zhenzong appreciated Yan Shu's honesty very much and named him "fellow scholar". When Yan Shu takes office, the world is at peace. Therefore, Beijing officials, large and small, often go to the suburbs or hold various banquets in restaurants and teahouses in the city. Yan Shu was poor and had no money to go out to eat, drink and have fun, so she had to read and write articles with her brothers at home. One day, Zhenzong promoted Yan Shu as the official of the East Palace who assisted the prince in his studies. Ministers were surprised and didn't understand why Zhenzong made such a decision. Zhenzong said, "Recently, the ministers often play and have banquets. Only Yan Shu studies behind closed doors, so she is cautious in self-esteem and is the best candidate for the East Palace official. " Yan Shu thanked him and said, "I am actually a person who likes to play and eat, but my family is poor." If I had money, I would have taken part in the banquet tour. " These two things made Yan Shu establish prestige in front of ministers, and Song Zhenzong trusted him more.

The story about honesty happened to Ji Zha. Ji Zha is going to the state of Jin in the west. He took his sword to visit the country. Guo looked at the sword. Although he didn't say anything, his face revealed the meaning of wanting a sword. Giving the sword to Xu is not because he has a mission to China, but because he has promised Xu in his heart. Ji Zha came back from the state of Jin, but Xu Jun died in Chu. So he took off his sword and gave it to Xu who inherited him. The entourage stopped him and said, "This is a treasure of the State of Wu, not a gift." Ji Zha said, "I didn't give it to him. I passed by here the other day, and Xu Guo Jun saw my sword. Although he didn't say anything, his face showed the expression of wanting this sword. I didn't give him the sword because I had a mission to Zhao. Even so, I have promised to give him my sword. Now that he is dead, I won't give him the sword, which is cheating my conscience. Because cherishing the sword makes your conscience hypocritical, honest people are not like this. " So he took off his sword and gave it to Xu Guojun, who succeeded him to the throne. Xu, who succeeded to the throne, said, "My late master left no legacy, so he dared not accept his sword." So Kiko hung the sword on the tree next to Xu's tomb and left. Zan Xu, singing: "Ji Zha never forgets his old friend, takes off his daughter's sword and takes the grave."

The story about honesty happened to Cui Shu. A man named Cui Shu went to the capital of song dynasty to take an examination of Jinshi, and lived in the south with a businessman for half a year. They became good friends. Later, the businessman became seriously ill. He said to Cui Shu, "You have been taking care of me for half a year, and you didn't treat me like an outsider. My illness seems incurable. Our family was buried heavily. If I die, can you always take care of my wife? " Cui Shu agreed to his request. The businessman added, "I have a jewel, which is worth millions of dollars." If I get it, it can go through fire and water. This is really a precious pearl, and I am willing to give it to you. " Cui Shu accepted the sphere curiously. Afterwards, Cui Shu thought about it, and found it inappropriate: You have to be supplied by your own government to become a scholar. How can you hide different treasures? After the merchant died, Cui Shu put the orb in the coffin, and when he was buried underground, he buried it in the grave. A year later, Cui Shu went to Bozhou to make a living. I heard that the wife of a southern businessman came all the way from the south to find her dead husband and trace the whereabouts of the treasure. The merchant's wife sued Cui Shu to the government, saying that Cui Shu must have got the sphere. The government sent someone to arrest Cui Shu. Cui Shu said, "If the tomb was not stolen, the sphere must still be in the coffin." So the government sent someone to dig the grave and open the coffin, and sure enough, the orb was still in the coffin. Pei was surprised and admired for his moral integrity. He wanted to keep him as his advisor, but he didn't want to. In the second year, Cui Shu finally mastered the right to choose the scribes and enjoyed an innocent reputation.
