First, the preliminary work.
1, enter the paper for publication.
Applicants for doctoral degrees are required to publish two academic papers in publicly published core journals as the first author (or the first author of the tutor and my second author) during the study period (see annex for the list of academic journals recognized by our college), and the acceptance and publication of various papers prove that they do not meet the requirements.
Academic papers published in books and periodicals outside the catalogue of our college need tutors to evaluate the academic level of the papers and apply to the degree point for recognition. If the application is approved, it can meet the requirements of core journal papers.
The author's unit must be the school to apply for. If you don't meet the requirements of the school, you can also apply for thesis defense. If you pass the defense, you can get a diploma. If the thesis is published within two years, you can reapply for a degree.
Second, the examination and approval of thesis defense.
1, the thesis tutor logs on the campus portal, inputs and prints the tutor's comments.
2, students in the campus portal input, print defense application, scientific research statistics (including copies of documents) and other materials.
3. The defense committee consists of a preliminary list proposed by the tutor or the director of the teaching and research section. The doctoral thesis defense committee consists of more than five professors, associate professors or experts with the same titles. If the instructor participates in the defense committee, the defense committee shall consist of at least six people. The national defense commission should be led by experts from within the school and include at least two experts from outside the school.
The chairman of the defense Committee should be a professor or an expert with the same title, and the tutor cannot be the chairman of the defense Committee. The list of defense committees shall not be made public before the defense.
4. The defense secretary enters the list of defense committees on the student network, and the time and place of defense. If you need to add a list of off-campus experts, please email the expert information (name, title, work unit, gender) to the educational administration teacher. The examination and approval of the defense list needs to be reviewed by the educational teachers in the system, and the branch chairman will confirm the approval (the repetition rate of the review experts and defense members shall not exceed 1/3).
Note: the list of defense committees cannot be made public before the defense, and the defense examination and approval must be completed by the secretary.
5. After the students modify their papers according to their opinions, they upload them in the campus portal-Graduate School-Degree Office-Electronic Paper Submission (integrated into a single pdf file). If the paper is unsuccessful, it is suggested to generate a small pdf file for compression.
6. The defense secretary shall print and sort out the relevant materials in the order of the cover of the degree examination and approval materials, and submit a copy of the degree thesis to the Academic Affairs Office for formal review at least 3 working days before the defense, and then submit it to the head of the graduate student of the department and the head of the branch for defense and approval.
7. The Minister of National Defense inquires about the examination and approval results on the campus portal website or e-mail. If the examination and approval fails, it needs to be supplemented and rectified according to the examination and approval opinions. Those who agree to organize the defense shall receive the examination and approval materials and voting votes from the academic affairs office of the college.
8. The national defense secretary/tutor uses the college OA system to borrow the national defense classroom in advance.
Third, the thesis defense.
1, organize defense.
The defense secretary organizes the thesis defense according to the defense process, makes detailed records, issues voting votes to the members of the defense committee (fill in the graduate students' names before issuing voting votes), and is responsible for scrutinizing the votes and counting the voting results. Write the opinions and voting results of the defense Committee on the dissertation and thesis defense into the resolution of the defense Committee (input into the system and print it).
Please all members of the defense committee sign the defense resolution and paste the defense vote on the paste page printed by the system for the record.
2. Respond to the resolutions of the Committee.
The defense committee examines the graduate degree (graduation) thesis, and makes a decision on whether to approve the graduation or grant the degree by secret ballot, which must be approved by more than two-thirds (including two-thirds) of all members (if the defense committee is composed of five people, the approval ratio is five-thirds, less than two-thirds, and it cannot be passed).
And comment on the thesis and thesis defense, and the comments should not be too simple. If the doctoral thesis fails to pass the defense, it can be revised within two years after half a year. After the second vote of the defense Committee, all members agree to reapply for defense.
