Guidance and precautions before studying in Russia
1. Check the file for errors.
1. When you get the school admission notice, invitation letter from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and passport, you should check whether the items such as name, gender, date of birth and expiration date are wrong; After completing the visa, check whether the name, entry date and validity period on the visa are wrong.
When you get the ticket, you should check whether the name, date, flight number and departure time are wrong. Confirm whether the departure time is within the validity period of the visa.
3. Carry-on certificates: original passport, academic certificate and report card (printed copy), notarial certificate, original contract and copy (if any), health certificate and AIDS-free certificate, admission notice, copy of visa invitation letter, 20 passport photos and 3 black-and-white photos (for subway monthly ticket) (the above materials vary according to different schools; It is also best to fill in the entry declaration form and entry card in advance and carry them with you.
Two. Prepare before departure
1. From Beijing to Moscow, you can take China international flight CA909 or Russian flight SU572. It is best to book air tickets according to the date and flight drawn up by our center, so that overseas staff can arrange to pick up the plane in a unified way. It is best for international students from the same school to fly to Moscow or Petersburg together in order to apply for admission collectively.
2. According to the regulations, the weight of each person's checked baggage shall not exceed 20-30 kg (Russian Airlines 30 kg, Air China 20 kg) (1 piece is appropriate); Carry-on small hand luggage or backpacks shall not exceed 5 kg (economy class). Note: Carry-on baggage obviously exceeding 5 kg (economy class) may also need to be checked. If this happens, take out the "exit certificate" in your bag immediately and don't be checked together! ! ! If it is overweight, the overweight part will be paid at $8 per kilogram.
3. Suggested items: 1) Daily necessities: cookers, commonly used medicines, folding umbrellas, small tape recorders (repeater is better), small gifts (sandalwood fans, scarves, handkerchiefs, Shuang Mianxiu), etc. 2) Clothing: down jacket or fur coat, thermal underwear, shirts, high-waisted cotton shoes (available in Russia), single shoes, travel shoes, slippers, suits, etc. 3) School supplies: Russian-Chinese, Chinese-Russian dictionaries, 4) mobile phones (bare machines, you can buy a card after going to Russia), and 5) bank cards (for domestic remittance). Note: US dollars must be in a new edition (issued after 1996 or 1996, without any seal on it). If it is old, even if it is taken out of the bank, it is difficult to exchange it in Russia.
4. Before leaving home for the airport, check whether your passport, air ticket and required documents (health certificate, AIDS test report and school admission notice, copy of passport invitation letter from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, graduation certificate, original report card and official documents) are complete. The above certificates, air tickets and cash (or foreign exchange checks) must be carried with you, which is safe and convenient to take out and use. You can't check it in your luggage.
At the airport or waiting room, I should take good care of my luggage and articles. Don't entrust others to look after it, and don't look after property for others.
6. After handling the boarding pass and checked baggage, immediately retrieve and check whether the passport, air ticket and checked baggage list (posted on the air ticket) are complete. Never put it on the counter.
Three. leave
When you arrive at Beijing (Shanghai \ Shenyang) International Airport, first look around for the baggage car. Domestic airports are free. Load your luggage, step into the departure hall of the airport and look for "international flights" according to the instructions hanging above the hall. You will enter China Customs here, find the entry point of international flights at the customs gate, and get a free exit registration card at the fixed service desk at the door. The content generally includes basic contents such as name, age, country of travel, airline, etc. Please fill in the information truthfully according to your passport and ticket. Then push the baggage cart and start to enter China Customs. There are three kinds of customs: red sign, green sign and diplomatic channel. Red customs means that there are items in your carry-on baggage that need to be declared, such as cultural relics, antiques, old banknotes and other items that the state expressly stipulates to be declared. Green customs means that there are no special items to declare, and the diplomatic channel is the only channel for holders of diplomatic passports. No matter which channel, you must show your passport, visa, air ticket and exit card to the border police on duty, and wait for him to check before entering the country. (Restricted items such as video cameras and advanced cameras need to be truthfully declared, and they will be released and brought into the country with this form when they return to the customs in the future). The first step is to check the baggage safety through the X-ray baggage conveyor belt. You can't leave with your luggage until the staff puts a long "safety inspection label" on it.
Now you need to check in and check your luggage. Look for the airline counter marked on your ticket in the lobby. After confirming your flight schedule displayed on the display screen above the counter, check your luggage and submit your ticket in exchange for your boarding pass. I would like to remind you that when preparing your luggage for studying abroad, you must pay attention to check or ask how many kilograms of checked baggage and how many kilograms of hand luggage the airline allows you to take (when purchasing air tickets from ABC or Aeroflot to Russia), so as to avoid being fined or losing weight when checking in at the airport.
After receiving the "luggage tag" and boarding pass, please go to the border checkpoint. Border inspection is a necessary procedure when entering or leaving any country. So we should actively cooperate. After verifying that your certificate is true, the border inspection staff will stamp your passport and release it.
After the border inspection, enter the airport duty-free zone and boarding gate. According to the boarding gate indicated on the boarding pass (generally indicated by numbers), queue up to get the last carry-on baggage and close the security check, then you can wait for boarding. The general boarding time is 25 minutes or 30 minutes before the plane takes off. The stewardess will tear off a long part of your boarding pass and guide you into the cabin.
Before arriving at Moscow airport, the flight attendant will issue a "passenger entry declaration form" on the plane, which should be filled out truthfully according to the content. Put the declaration form in your passport, and when you cross the Russian border after getting off the plane, prepare a copy of the air ticket, yellow book of physical examination, school admission notice and passport invitation letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for inspection. With the help of the center staff, the "passenger entry declaration form" should be filled out in advance.
Four. enter
1 border inspection
Border inspection is a routine inspection of entry personnel by a country's border guards according to its own laws, and it is the sovereignty exercised by a country. Immigrants should respect national laws, actively cooperate and accept inspections. Frontier inspection is mainly to check the authenticity and validity of passports and visas held by immigrants.
Students studying in Russia who enter the country by plane through Moscow International Airport should queue up at the designated border entrance as soon as possible after getting off the plane and entering the terminal building, and fill in the entry card.
At the border inspection window, the entrant should take the initiative to submit his passport, health certificate and school admission notice, copy of passport invitation letter from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and entry card to the Russian border inspection personnel. When the border inspectors check the passports and visas and find them correct, they will leave a visa, stamp the entry and date on the passport, return it to the immigrants, and open the door to allow entry. Border guards generally don't ask. All documents will be returned after being checked and stamped with the entry stamp on the passport. At this time, we should pay special attention not to leave passports, passenger entry declaration forms, yellow book of health examination and carry-on items in the entry inspection window. Don't lose the entry card, and use it when you apply for a visa on arrival after entering school.
At this time, after receiving the passport and visa, the immigrants should pay attention to check whether the passport is stamped with the entry signature and whether the entry date on the signature is consistent with the actual date. Once the problem is found, it is necessary to negotiate immediately and try to solve it on the spot. If confirmed, you can push open the detention door and enter the hall. At this point, students studying in Russia passed the border inspection in accordance with legal procedures and officially entered Russia.
In addition, Russian border guards strictly investigate and control illegal immigration, smuggling and other activities. It is normal if the passport is taken away by the border guards for inspection. Please don't worry, it usually takes half an hour.
If students studying in Russia enter the country through the People's Republic of Mongolia on our international train, they must apply for a transit visa at the Embassy of the People's Republic of Mongolia in China. Or when an international train enters the territory of Mongolia, the border guards get on the train and go through the formalities of transit endorsement, and the cost is equivalent to about RMB 200 yuan. Due to the different railway gauges of China, Mongolia and Russia, when the train departs from Beijing and arrives at the border city of Erenhot, passengers have to get off and wait for the train to change tracks (about two hours). After the change of track, the passengers got on the bus again. When the train entered Mongolia, it stopped again. At this time, the train crew and all passengers are not allowed to get off the train, and they must wait in the carriage for the Mongolian people and frontier, customs and animal and plant quarantine personnel to get on the train for inspection. The first people to get on the bus are border guards, who will check passengers' passports and visas and issue customs declaration forms. After the inspection, they will stamp the entry stamp on their passports. After that, customs and animal and plant quarantine officers also inspected the luggage carried and checked by passengers. After everything was checked, the train started again. At this time, you should take good care of your passport, visa and customs declaration form in case you need to check it again when you leave the country. After the train leaves Mongolia and enters the Russian border town of Nowshki, passengers still need to undergo the above inspection.
If Russian students enter China via Manzhouli, the border city of China, they must also wait in Manzhouli to change tracks. The frontier inspection, customs inspection and animal and plant quarantine inspection after entry are the same as above, so I will not repeat them here.
settle the customs formalities
After entering Russia, you should immediately go to the rotating conveyor belt under the "indicator light" indicating the flight number to find and collect the checked baggage. Then you need a customs declaration form and fill it out carefully item by item.
There are several kinds of "customs declaration forms", such as Russian, English and French. Here, the Russian "customs declaration form" is taken as an example to briefly explain the problems that should be paid attention to when filling in.
(a) There are no separate items in the "Customs Declaration Form" about cameras and other electrical appliances brought in by Russian customs. Therefore, the report can be omitted;
(2) Russian customs strictly controls foreign exchange (hard currency: US dollar, British pound, French franc, German mark, Japanese yen, etc.). ) brought in and brought out by immigrants, so immigrants must truthfully declare the amount of foreign exchange they bring in to avoid being seized and confiscated because they don't declare it. Renminbi is not hard currency, so it cannot be reported.
After filling out the "customs declaration form", you can take your luggage to the "red channel" to queue up for customs clearance.
At the time of customs clearance, I should hand over my passport, visa, air ticket (including baggage tag) and "customs declaration form" to the customs staff, and at the same time put my carry-on luggage and articles on the conveyor belt of the X-ray inspection machine for inspection.
When the customs staff can't confirm the baggage or an item in the baggage through the screen of the X-ray inspection machine, they have the right to ask the entry personnel to open the baggage or carry out manual inspection. When necessary, customs officers have the right to take immigrants to the workplace for body search or inquiry (this is normal, there is no need to be nervous). At the entrance of the customs inspection channel, the customs officers may have to check the amount of your foreign exchange cash or foreign exchange checks, and then stamp the passenger's entry declaration form.
After all the inspections are completed, the customs staff will sign and seal the "Customs Declaration Form" filled out by the entry personnel, and the customs clearance procedures will be completed. At this time, immigrants should carefully check whether their passports, visas, air tickets, "customs declaration forms" and luggage are complete, and pay special attention to whether the "customs declaration forms" have the signatures and seals of Russian customs personnel. The entry "customs declaration form" shall be properly kept until the next departure.

International students who have obtained exit visas need to be inspected as if they were entering the country. However, the procedure is the opposite. First, you go through the customs, then you check your luggage and get a boarding pass (only for those who fly), and finally you go through the border inspection. Passport, exit visa, plane (car) ticket, customs declaration form filled in at the time of last entry and the newly filled customs declaration form for this exit must be submitted to the customs staff. 1 1. Safety precautions for overseas life
For every international student, whether he is new here or has lived abroad for several years, if he does not pay due attention to the surrounding environment, he will often encounter some unnecessary troubles. Some small negligence, ranging from property damage to physical injury and even loss of precious life. How to maintain the safety of life and property has become the most important problem that every international student must face.
When you arrive at a new living environment, you should know the local public security situation as soon as possible and ask the local residents about the surrounding public security environment. Foreign students should also take the initiative to ask the school for relevant safety information, manuals, emergency contact numbers, etc. , in order to nip in the bud. Specifically, we should pay attention to the following aspects:
1. Choice of living environment
If you want to get more protection for your wealth, you must choose your residence carefully. Generally speaking, the safest thing is to live in a student dormitory. The school dormitory is managed by a special person. If there is an accident, there is usually an emergency notification system. If you can apply to the school dormitory, you'd better not give up easily. Besides saving a lot of commuting time to school, it is usually safer.
For those who can't apply for school dormitories and have to rent their own houses, special consideration should be given to the security situation near their houses. When looking for your own residence, try to give priority to finding private houses near the school. When you have to live far away from school, you'd better avoid areas with poor security. As for which places in the city belong to poor security areas, you can ask the staff outside the center.
2. Family safety
Although living in the school dormitory is relatively safe, you should be careful with your belongings. When you go out, whether you go to the toilet or answer the phone, you must take your key and lock the door. In addition, most student dormitories in western countries are shared by men and women, so girls must be alert to sexual harassment or sexual assault. If you have any concerns in this regard, you'd better report them to the school immediately.
Before moving into a new home, you'd better check the surrounding environment and take a look at the safety management measures. After moving, it is best to change all the locks or reset the password. When you get home, if you find something strange in the doors and windows, don't go in without authorization, and call the police quickly. Don't let strangers in. If a maintenance worker wants to enter, first check the ID card, check the company phone number and call to verify. Be careful when using water, electricity and gas.
3. Outdoor safety
For motorists, don't drive blindly when you get lost, so as not to get into the restricted area by mistake. Be sure to ask someone first, and don't get off at will. It is better to have a map or a mobile phone in the car. Remember the parking space of your car and pay attention to the safety around the parking. If you are a frequent visitor, you'd better stop at a fixed place. Don't leave anything coveted in the car, such as wallet or handbag. Don't handle or tidy things in the parking lot. Don't hitchhike, don't hitchhike. The oil in the tank is below the warning line, so you should refuel immediately to avoid being unable to move because of running out of gasoline.
When going out for a walk, you should walk in a bright place, don't take shortcuts, and be light and confident. Don't take too much cash when you go out, put it in different places. When traveling abroad, it's best to put cash in a thunderbolt bag, tie it around your waist and add a coat. If you are used to carrying a handbag, you'd better not put cash, passport or important documents in it. Be alert when getting on and off the bus, and the opening of the handbag should be inward.
Whether boys or girls go out at night, they must be vigilant, and it is best to go together. Try to avoid pedestrians, dark places, or walking alone through parks and forests. Walking in the metropolitan area late at night, you must also pay attention to the movements of pedestrians before and after. If you find that someone is not coming well, try to speed up the pace or bypass a crowded place. Pay special attention to drunken drunks on weekends. Some drunkards will swear when they are unconscious, and they are full of violent tendencies, so look far away. It's best to avoid them early and keep a safe distance. In addition, if you find three or five groups of juvenile offenders or gang members gathering on the road, you should avoid or detour as soon as possible to avoid confrontation with them and possible provocation.
It is best to travel together. If you have to travel alone, you'd better tell your classmates and friends the itinerary, destination and departure days, and leave your contact number. In addition, you must carry an emergency phone with you, and it is best to buy travel safety insurance when traveling abroad, with an extra layer of protection.
4. Driving safety
Don't drive too fast, don't drink, do a good job in vehicle safety inspection, study the route and road conditions before driving, obey the traffic rules and cultivate good driving habits. This is the only way to safeguard the safety of yourself and passengers. For students who don't drive, pay attention to the cars coming from both sides when crossing the road, and follow the traffic signs when crossing the road, which is also the secret of maintaining their own safety.
In addition, it is normal for Russian police to check foreigners' passports. Maybe China people are not used to it at first. But there are also individuals who pretend to be policemen and extort money from foreigners in the name of checking passports. Therefore, if you are in doubt about this situation, you should remember the characteristics and license plate number of the other party in order to report the case to the Russian Embassy in China or the local police station.
