1960 Graduated from Uranium Geology Department of Changchun Institute of Geology. Researcher. Director of Yichang Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources. 1960 After graduation, he was admitted to the school as a graduate student majoring in rare element deposits. 1962 was assigned to Yichang Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources in advance, engaged in the research of rare-earth element granite pegmatite, granite, nonferrous and rare-earth element deposits related to granite, geochemistry and mineral inclusions. In 1960s, he was mainly engaged in the research of rare-element granite pegmatite, and submitted the Research Report on the Material Composition of Rare-element Granitic Pegmatite in Zhanjiaqiao, Linxiang, Hunan Province and the Research Report on the Chemical Equilibrium of Niobium, Tantalum and Lithium Oxides in Rare-element Granitic Pegmatite in Linxiang, Hunan Province. The latter was published in 1973, Proceedings of the National Rare Element Geology Conference. During this period, he made a homogeneous thermometer for mineral inclusions and established an inclusion laboratory. From the end of 1960s to the mid-1970s, he was mainly engaged in geochemical research on granite-related nonferrous, rare and rare earth element deposits, and served as the technical director and project director of the laboratory, and wrote the Research Report on Formation Conditions and Enrichment Laws of Granite-type Rare Earth Element Deposits in Nanling Area, which first proposed two evolution sequences of rare element granites in this area and summarized their different metallogenic specificities. Master Ge Xing has published three papers, namely, Study on Diagenesis and Mineralization Relationship of Non-ferrous Rare Metal Granites in South China and Characteristics of Rock, Mineral, Earth and Chemical Evolution of Rare Metal Granites in Nanling Area. During the period, he further organized relevant personnel to make a thermoacoustic burst instrument, which was well received by experts in the same field. Up to now, the inclusion laboratory is still using this instrument to complete a large number of production, scientific research and testing tasks. The analysis method of inclusion composition is established, and the high temperature and high pressure laboratory of diagenesis and mineralization is established. In the name of the research group, he published many papers, such as "Discussion on Several Problems of Temperature Measurement by Bursting Method" and "Introduction to Thermoacoustic Analyzer of Mineral Inclusion".
