Chen's main achievements
It is the first in China to apply RNA technology to rapid identification and monitoring of red tide causes. A DNA analysis method suitable for microalgae single cells was established, which opened the way for molecular research of many algae that are difficult to culture and reached the international advanced level. The molecular geographical markers of toxic dinoflagellate of red tide in the South China Sea and the possible origin and transmission routes of toxic Microcystis aeruginosa and Phaeocystis fusca of red tide were revealed for the first time, which provided new data for the study of the dynamic mechanism of red tide in typical coastal aquaculture areas in China. This achievement was highly praised by the leaders of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and domestic peer experts when applying for the Ninth Five-Year Plan. The theory and method of molecular identification of microalgae species are put forward, and the key technology of molecular biology for rapid identification, monitoring and prediction of red tide provenance in natural water bodies is established. For the first time in the world, rDNA ITS was used as the sequence of sex and asexuality of Cordyceps sinensis and related species. From the genetic level, it is concluded that the asexual stage of Cordyceps sinensis is Cordyceps sinensis in China, not Paecilomyces sinensis in China, which provides an objective standard for the development and utilization of Cordyceps sinensis. By studying the molecular characteristics and evolutionary biology of the plants and animals endemic to China, it is revealed that the morphological changes of these organisms are inconsistent with the evolution at the molecular level, and it is clarified that the morphological invariance and high variation at the gene level are probably the * * * characteristics of the plants and animals left behind, which are related to their survival strategies. In recent years, Chen Yueqin has published more than 20 research papers and 8 conference papers in important international and domestic magazines.
