He is the author of International Monetary System Reform and RMB Internationalization (2009), Institutional Suitability and Economic Development-Development Economics Based on China's Practice (2008), China Finance in Globalization (2008) and China Finance Going Global (2006). Li Ruogu is one of the financiers with international influence and experience in contemporary China. His first job in the financial system was dealing with foreigners. Since then, he has been active in the international economic and financial arena. In June 2005, the State Council transferred him from the deputy governor of the People's Bank of China to The Export-Import Bank of China, a state policy bank wholly owned by the government, as the chairman and president, shouldering the glorious dream of promoting China's participation in world economic cooperation and common development. In 2009, he won the honor of "financier of the year" in the first financial value list.
