Report on how to transform rural primary school students with English learning difficulties.
Abstract: English, as a non-native language subject in China, is greatly influenced by the environment in learning. In rural primary schools, a large number of "students with English learning difficulties" have emerged due to the abnormal flow of teachers, family education, left-behind children and other factors, as well as improper learning methods and individual differences. Moreover, with the increase of grades, the problem of English "students with learning difficulties" has become increasingly prominent. This paper analyzes the causes of English learning difficulties in rural primary schools, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures on how to transform them.

In primary school English teaching, the transformation of students with learning difficulties is an unavoidable topic for every primary school English teacher. There are several reasons for the formation of students with English learning difficulties in primary schools: 1 Poor perception, inaccurate perception of the knowledge structure of English language, lack of interest in learning English. They are not sensitive enough to the formation of language, for example, in the early grades, there will be association obstacles between language and objects. 2. Poor study habits. Students with learning difficulties in almost all subjects have a shortcoming in their studies: lack of good study habits. As far as English learning is concerned, students' cognition of non-native language is the main factor that causes students' poor effect, such as not previewing the text before class, not paying attention in class, and lacking sufficient review and consolidation after class. 3. Family members don't pay enough attention. According to the survey, a considerable number of students with English learning difficulties are left-behind children. Parents are forced to make a living, running around all day, and have no time to take care of their children. Lack of family cooperation, supervision and education, and limited English language ability make these children have not developed the consciousness and habit of conscious learning since childhood. 4. The learning method is incorrect. Many students with learning difficulties think that the way to learn English is to learn by rote, but in fact it's just a poor memory. Sometimes even if you finally remember some words and sentence patterns, you can't use them flexibly. They often only pay attention to the phenomenon of isolation, ignoring the analysis of the internal relations and hidden conditions between languages, so they are prone to grammatical errors. Since the reasons for the difficulties in English learning in primary schools have been found, it is necessary to teach students in accordance with their aptitude and prescribe the right medicine so that every student can get different development in English learning.

First, optimize the external environment of English teaching

As a young subject, English teaching management and standardization are mostly in the initial stage. At present, performance appraisal, curriculum arrangement, small homework design and cultural rendering are all integrated or organized within the school, which can effectively promote the utilization of educational resources, optimize the external environment of English teaching, and put English teaching in an equal or priority position, thus ensuring the necessary space and time advantages for students with learning difficulties to transform.

Second, pay attention to teaching methods and learning guidance to improve students' learning transfer ability.

1. Pay attention to emotional communication with students and realize zero-distance communication between teachers and students. It is very important to create an atmosphere of "love" because love is infectious. Only when you "love" students first will students like you and the subjects you teach. In teaching, I always regard the teaching process as the main channel to pour love into students. Students studying in a loving environment and a happy atmosphere can effectively eliminate their psychological obstacles in learning English and create a situation in which they dare to speak English, strive to speak English and love to speak English.

2. When teaching words, we should infiltrate phonetic teaching and classify them from three aspects: sound, form and meaning to help students improve the efficiency of memorizing words.

3. When teaching grammar, use vivid and interesting methods to stimulate students' interest in learning, let interesting content cross with boring content, write a good paper, and skillfully turn boring things into things with relish. For example, make grammar points into catchy ballads and use vivid metaphors.

4. Strengthen the guidance of problem-solving methods. For example, in listening practice, students often only write words and ignore the correct forms of words. Teachers should train students to speak correctly, learn to be patient, learn to fill in the blanks with grammatical choices, and teach students to find key hints from given words.

5. Use encouraging language to arouse students' enthusiasm for learning. Teachers' praise and encouragement to students can mobilize students' enthusiasm far more than condemnation and reprimand. Tao Xingzhi, a famous educator, said: "Pay attention to Watt under your guidance, Newton in cold eyes and Edison in ridicule. As teachers, we have no right to choose the object of education, but to face all students. It is teachers' unshirkable responsibility to create a good learning atmosphere for each student and constantly develop their intelligence. In the classroom, creating a relaxed and democratic atmosphere will stimulate students' learning emotions, strengthen students' learning will and form positive learning motivation.

Third, the implementation of hierarchical teaching, respect for individual differences of students.

Teachers set different requirements for students' individual differences in the determination of goals, the exploration of new knowledge and the design of exercises, so as to create more opportunities for students with learning difficulties and let them experience the sense of success in learning. Especially through effective teaching design activities, through the study of the teaching content of each class, through the study of students at different levels in the class, we can understand the different needs of different students and the different characteristics of students at different levels. Through the analysis of students, they are classified in learning ability and learning style.

In particular, it is necessary to know how far the foundation of students with learning difficulties is from the starting point of this class and what help they need in the process of achieving their goals.

Fourth, carry out teaching competitions to arouse the enthusiasm of students with learning difficulties.

Lack of interest in learning is one of the fundamental reasons for students with learning difficulties, and teachers will get twice the result with half the effort in mobilizing students' learning enthusiasm in class. English teaching itself contains many boring factors. Memorizing words, phrases, sentences and texts requires students to read and recite repeatedly, which is undoubtedly a headache for those lazy students with learning difficulties. How to stimulate their interest in learning depends on teachers' flexible teaching methods to memorize words, using games or competitions to urge students to memorize words actively, or asking students to make their own nursery rhymes and riddles by using words and sentence patterns, so as to stimulate the interest of students with learning difficulties and make them feel that learning English is very interesting. Adopt diversified teaching methods, such as games, riddles, songs, performances, competitions, etc. In particular, the application of multimedia teaching means not only improves students' interest, but also helps students to integrate audio-visual, thinking and speech.

Five, follow the cognitive law, form a correct learning attitude and good study habits.

Correct learning attitude and good study habits are effective ways to improve the learning efficiency of students with learning difficulties. In the contact with students with learning difficulties, we found that the unclear learning purpose led to incorrect learning attitude. Therefore, it is necessary to guide students with learning difficulties to correctly understand learning, tell celebrity stories, let students talk about their ideals, set learning examples around them through vivid and infectious examples, reward students who have made great progress, adhere to patient and meticulous positive education, and adopt various forms to link learning goals with life goals to promote learning.

In short, the essence of "students with learning difficulties" is lack of self-confidence and negative self-development. Their transformation is an arduous and complicated task, which cannot be accomplished overnight. It must go through a long process. As far as primary school English is concerned, every teacher should have a correct understanding and attitude towards them, treat every student with learning difficulties enthusiastically, classify different students with learning difficulties, and then implement targeted transformation paths and keep practicing.
