Article 8? The master's degree thesis should have a new view on the research topic, which shows that the author has the ability to engage in scientific research or undertake specialized technical work independently.

The degree-conferring unit shall employ one or two experts in related disciplines to review the thesis. Reviewers should write detailed academic comments on the thesis for the reference of the thesis defense Committee.

The defense committee for master's degree thesis consists of three to five people. Members should generally have experts from other units. The chairman of the thesis defense Committee is an associate professor, professor or an expert with the same title.

The thesis defense committee decides whether to grant a master's degree according to the defense situation. The resolution shall be adopted by secret ballot, with the consent of more than two thirds of all members. After being signed by the chairman of the thesis defense committee, it will be submitted to academic degree evaluation committee. Meetings should be recorded.
