In order to make graduates meet the requirements of modern enterprises for knowledge, ability and quality of electromechanical talents, the college specially invited dozens of technical experts from Fortune 500 companies such as Emerson, Bosch and Black & Decker to serve as consultants for the electromechanical specialty of the college. In order to strengthen the guiding research of curriculum reform, the college held "Steering Committee Meeting of Mechatronics Specialty" and "DACUM Vocational Skills Analysis Seminar" respectively. Members of the electromechanical integration professional committee used the "DACUM" analysis method to conduct in-depth research on the electromechanical integration professional courses, analyzed the post task modules required by the post, integrated the study fields, work modules and course groups of the electromechanical integration specialty, and completed the "DACUM analysis table", which summarized the professional courses of the electromechanical integration specialty in the college into six unit modules, including electrical basic module, pneumatic and electro-pneumatic technology module, PLC module, sensor module and motor module. This makes the training objectives and teaching objectives of students majoring in mechatronics fully reflected in the teaching process of six modules.
First, the implementation of "modular" advantages and effectiveness of teaching mode
1. Around the modular teaching, the construction of professional training rooms has been strengthened.
Focusing on the development of modular teaching, the college has invested heavily in the construction of teaching facilities for electromechanical majors. The college invested more than 3.5 million yuan to establish and improve six training rooms for modular teaching. In order to cultivate high-quality skilled students in the mechanical and electrical industry, the college organizes teachers and enterprise technicians to formulate corresponding training projects according to the requirements of enterprise production line equipment, and makes full use of the advanced equipment in the training room to carry out practical teaching and theoretical teaching, so that students can better learn and understand mechanical and electrical professional courses and cultivate students with practical skills needed by enterprises.
Through cooperation with enterprises, the college has also established a number of off-campus practice bases to provide full protection for students' internship training. A multi-level practical teaching system combining social practice, study tour, curriculum practice, professional practice and graduation practice has been established, and efforts have been made to comprehensively improve students' professional quality and skills.
Taking full advantage of the "front school and back factory", the college cooperated with the world's top 500 enterprises, Black & Decker and Shengli, and opened two "order-based" training courses, Black & Decker and Shengli. The company also donated Black & Decker training room and design room respectively, which enriched the training facilities of mechanical and electrical specialty.
2. Focusing on modular teaching, the research and innovation ability and theoretical teaching level of professional teachers have been improved.
The development of modular teaching of mechanical and electrical courses highlights that the original teaching materials can not meet the teaching requirements. In order to better implement modular teaching, improve teaching effect and students' skills, and make students better adapt to the post requirements of enterprises, the college has carefully organized some professional teachers and enterprise technicians to write handouts and teaching materials, and developed corresponding training projects and produced a large number of multimedia courseware according to the equipment specifications of enterprise production lines.
According to the needs of modular teaching, textbooks, handouts and experimental reports have been compiled respectively: MPS teaching system, programmable controller and experimental report book, intermediate maintenance electrician's guide, hydraulic transmission and pneumatic technology, pneumatic and electro-pneumatic technology experimental report book, electrician basic experimental lecture notes and experimental report book, modular flexible processing system lecture notes and experimental report book. These handouts, experiments and multimedia materials greatly facilitate teaching, improve students' interest in learning, improve teaching quality, and make teachers' theoretical teaching level improve rapidly. Three professional teachers made full use of modular teaching and won the first prize and the second prize respectively in the open class competition of integrating theory with practice held in Suzhou. A professional textbook written by a teacher has been published by Peking University Publishing House, and has been identified as a planning textbook and an excellent textbook in Jiangsu Province.
In order to carry out modular teaching more smoothly and continuously improve teachers' scientific research and innovation ability, the college draws lessons from Singapore's "teaching-enterprise cooperation" model, allowing professional teachers to enter related enterprises, develop training equipment with enterprise technical experts, and complete projects. The implementation of this model not only improves teachers' practical skills, but also lays a good foundation for teachers' personal development and the combination of Industry-University-Research.
The development of modular teaching has also produced great social effects. So far, more than 20 colleges and universities across the country have purchased the teaching instruments and equipment jointly developed by the college and Ruisi Electromechanical Co., Ltd., which have been well received by teachers in the process of use.
3. In the process of modular teaching, carry out "project-based" teaching to continuously improve students' professional skills.
Modular integration of mechanical and electrical courses makes the teaching arrangement and practice more closely combined. In the form of teaching, the project teaching method and the action-oriented method are adopted to carry out teaching activities. Students can improve their basic abilities of discussion, organization, teamwork, communication and summary by completing projects in groups. Teachers take projects as the main line in the whole teaching process and integrate some knowledge points into the projects. In the whole learning process, the teacher is the tutor, which embodies the dominant position of the teacher. The main purpose of students is to complete the project, which not only develops students' thinking ability, but also improves students' practical skills and embodies students' subjectivity.
Because all training modules are open all day, students can not only use the training room equipment during formal class hours, but also enter the training room for their own research and design after school hours.
Through the study of modular courses of electromechanical specialty, three students of grade 04 participated in the "Third Advanced Manufacturing Technology Practice Teaching and Innovative Production Competition in Jiangsu Engineering Colleges" and the "First Vocational Education Innovation Competition in Jiangsu Province" respectively. Their "turntable" design won the second prize, and their "sightseeing trolley" won the third prize, and obtained corresponding patents, ranking first among higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province. At the same time, the college also won the title of "Excellent School" and two teachers won the title of "Excellent Instructor".
Second, the "modular" teaching problems and countermeasures
In the implementation of "modular" teaching process, the author believes that there are still the following problems:
1. It is difficult to connect knowledge, arrange time and assign teachers among modules, and it needs to be fine-tuned repeatedly in teaching to gradually become reasonable.
2. Modular teaching requires teachers to have the quality of dual-qualification, not only to understand technology, but also to speak professional theory, not only to master the operation skills of this special module, but also to be familiar with the skills of adjacent modules and grasp the combination of knowledge and skills. At present, the shortage of teachers in this part should be solved as soon as possible.
3. Modular teaching requires improving relevant teaching facilities, often arranging teachers to study new technologies, new processes and related job skills in enterprises, and establishing more off-campus training bases linked with schools and enterprises.
