I wrote an article "Writing should start from the heart" before, and talked about some personal views on writing, especially mentioning that writing should follow the call of the heart, which is called "doing whatever you want" here.

Do whatever you want, first of all, the content of writing should be in line with your own heart, you can't create for the sake of creation, you can't cater to some needs, and you can't copy for the sake of fame and fortune. This is the bottom line. For example, at present, the most profitable online creation is commercial copywriting and novels, but I personally hate to restrict my personal creation because of the copper smell, and even sneer at the novels that are now fabricated, which have no life experience, no connotation and value, and even wander in the gray area for traffic, so I will not create such online articles.

At the same time, writing should follow the footsteps of the heart and write whatever you want. I mentioned in Writing from the Heart that writing should be the true expression of the heart. Inner thought is the content of writing, and written language is the form, which should serve the content. The written language can be carefully selected, but it must conform to the true thoughts of the heart, and it can't be used to pursue literary talent, let alone pretend to be the host, to cater to the writing skills of some so-called "explosive articles" on the Internet and lose the true thoughts of the heart.

Maybe many people don't understand, what is the relationship between writing and caring about current events? The answer is simple: keep pace with the times.

This is a rapidly changing era, and the news is overwhelming every day. Understanding current events is the only way to keep up with the times, and it is also the secret to keep your article alive forever. Therefore, if you want to write a good article, you can't do without keeping pace with the times and understanding current events. The current events here can be politics, culture, science and art, so it's good to know them according to your hobbies.

Understanding current events can not only enrich the material library of your own articles, but also make the content of your own articles grasp the pulse of the times, so as not to be outdated and thus more attractive.

Personally, I think the main direction of creation is best to focus on argumentative essays and essays. Argumentative writing can exercise one's logical thinking ability, enhance the in-depth and comprehensive analysis of social problems, and help to make the written articles more insightful; Prose helps to cultivate divergent thinking and express personal feelings. At the same time, an argumentative paper expounds its own views on a certain issue, which is easy to resonate with others, while prose is soothing, beautiful, concise and powerful, which is easier to express feelings and easy to read.
