He showed extraordinary musical talent at an early age and was known as a child prodigy. /kloc-started performing in public at the age of 0/0. 1933 graduated from Harbin Conservatory of Music and won the gold medal. 1935 (15 years old) Vidnikov went to Japan to perform with the New Symphony Orchestra (now NHK Symphony Orchestra) and was well received. After the performance in Japan, Vidnikov and his family returned to the Soviet Union. Later, because of Stalin's purge movement, Vidnikov's parents were arrested. Soon after, his father was shot and his mother was forced to be sent to a shelter. Vidnikov, who was studying at Moscow Conservatory of Music at that time, was also on the wanted list, and nego was his piano teacher. Negoz once asserted that Vidnikov is on an equal footing with richter (Viatoslav Tefilovich Richt) and Gillis (emil gilels), who are his most proud students, and Vickers' piano skills are enough to dominate one side. However, because Vidnikov was the target of the Soviet Communist regime, he could never perform abroad like Gillis (who was allowed to perform abroad in the early 1950s) and richter (who was allowed to perform abroad in the late 1950s). His active range remained in Russia until the disintegration of the former Soviet Union and he was finally able to perform abroad (early 1980s). He went to Italy, Finland and Germany to hold concerts. Originally, Vidnikov was scheduled to return to Japan for half a century on 1993, but he died in July before the premiere. After Vidnikov's death, his recording was first released in Japan, which caused considerable repercussions.
