Guiyang Teachers' Choir was founded in the early 1980s. It is composed of teachers of Han nationality, Miao nationality, Buyi nationality, Tujia nationality, Yi nationality and Zhuang nationality in primary and secondary schools in the city. This is a group directed by chorus artists such as Yan Liangkun, Magshun, Yang Hongnian, Wu Lingfen and Meng Dapeng. She has been active in the chorus stage and various art performances inside and outside the province for a long time, and is a wonderful flower in the chorus art garden of Guizhou Province.

Since its establishment, Guiyang Teachers' Choir has rehearsed a large number of excellent choral songs from home and abroad, such as The Yellow River Cantata, Gao Ao ruitai, Night in the Desert, Loushanguan, Going to a Beautiful Place, Great Qinghai-Tibet, Serenade, Dusk, Echo, Snowflake, Zgang and so on. At the same time, the choir also performed some wonderful chorus songs with strong ethnic colors and simple regional flavor in Guizhou, such as Brief Introduction to Plateau Yan Liangkun, Brief Introduction to Yan Liangkun, My Home, Hometown, Sister Ai Going Down to Wash Clothes, and Knocking on the Wooden Drum, which contributed to the promotion of Guizhou Plateau and the spread of Guizhou humanistic spirit.

Won many international, domestic, provincial and municipal awards: 1996 won the silver prize of "China Chorus Festival"; 1997 won the gold medal of "China Guizhou Chorus Festival"; 1998 won the bronze medal in the 4th China International Chorus Festival; 1999 won the first "Southwest Chorus Festival" gold medal; In 2005, he won the silver prize in the first national teachers' chorus festival. In 2006, he won the silver medal in the "Fourth World Chorus Games" rematch; In 2008, he won the second place in the "Colorful Guizhou" Chorus Competition.

Teachers' Choir is committed to promoting elegant art, taking the rehearsal and singing of classic choral works as the carrier, improving the aesthetic taste and singing skills of choir members, which has played a positive role in promoting the overall singing level of Guiyang Youth Choir.
