Did Penglai, abbot and Yingzhou first come from Shan Hai Jing? Is it a novel by Xu Fu?
Penglai, abbot and Yingzhou should have originated from the Shandong Peninsula in the Qin Dynasty or earlier, and they are sacred mountains (Penglai in Shandong has nothing to do with it now).

Shan Hai Jing records that there are three fairy mountains on the sea: Penglai, abbot and Yingzhou. These three fairy mountains have beautiful scenery, all inhabited by immortals, and there are elixirs.

It is precisely because of its beautiful fairyland and the existence of fairy medicine that can coexist with nature that it has become a place that emperors of all dynasties yearn for. According to Historical Records, there are three fairy mountains in Qi people's letters, named Penglai, Abbot and Yingzhou. It attracted Qin Shihuang and Han Wudi to Penglai to seek immortality.

So in reality, do these three fairy mountains really exist?

The place where the legendary fairy lived.

At the northernmost tip of Jiaodong Peninsula, near the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea, across the sea from Tianjin and Dalian, there is a beautiful place, where beautiful natural scenery and warm climate are no different from the legendary fairyland. It is Penglai City, located in the north of Yantai City, Shandong Province.

So Penglai is the legendary fairy mountain Penglai?

Penglai is an ancient city with a long history. As early as BC 133, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty marched eastward and looked at Penglai Mountain in the sea, hence the name. It means stopping here to overlook Penglai Fairy Mountain, so Penglai City is not really a fairy mountain.

With its superior geographical advantages, long human history and the legend of "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea", Penglai City has become the only county-level city in Shandong and even the whole country with two 5A-level scenic spots at the same time, among which the famous Penglai Pavilion scenic spot is known as "fairyland on earth", in addition to the Three Immortals Mountain Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea scenic spot, Penglai Watertown and Penglai Ocean Polar World.

Although it is not a fairy mountain, it is comparable to a fairyland and is definitely a good place to go.

The abbot is not a monk in the temple, but the abbot mountain, where the gods live. According to the Records of the Ten Kingdoms of the Sea, the abbot is located in the center of the East China Sea. It is a square island with five thousand miles on all sides, hence the name. All the mountains are immortals, and there are tens of thousands of people living with the sky.

2,500 kilometers times 2,500 kilometers equals 6.25 million square kilometers, and the land area of China now is 9.63 million square kilometers. This abbot mountain is a little big, which can catch up with the land area of China, but there seems to be no such a big island in the East China Sea, but there is an Australian university in the South China Sea, with 76 1000 square kilometers, which is not much different and similar in shape.

There is another saying. According to the Water Mirror Notes, the abbot mountain is Kunlun Mountain. As the first mountain in China, Kunlun Mountain is called the abbot fairy mountain, which is absolutely beyond the limit. There are also many beautiful fairy tales in Kunlun Mountain, which is China's "ancestor of Long Mai".

The legendary place where immortals live.

The first island in China is Taiwan Province Province, and the second island is Hainan. Do you know the third island?

At the mouth of the Yangtze River, Chongming Island, the third largest island in China, is known as "the gateway to the Yangtze River and Yingzhou in the East China Sea". Chongming Island was called Yingzhou in ancient times.

Is this Yingzhou a fairy mountain Yingzhou? Legend has it that Qin Shihuang and Emperor Wudi sent people to the East China Sea to look for it, but they still couldn't find it. In the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang thought that since they couldn't find it, I gave it to Yingzhou, so I gave it to Chongming Island.

However, Yingzhou in the East China Sea is not named casually, but because of its beautiful natural scenery. On Chongming Island, you can enjoy the sunrise in the East China Sea, watch the sunset in the long river, listen to the evening songs when you return to the ship, and watch the river enter the sea. Besides fairyland, where can you enjoy this beautiful scenery?

Never seen it with my own eyes. So there is a fairy mountain on the sea. "The local people may have a legend long ago. The name may have been made up by Xu Fu himself, and Qin Shihuang believed it. Thus, there was Xu Fudong's great escape. Actually chui fook also know that this "fairy mountain" can't be found at all. I know that death is inevitable, so I have to make up a lie to save my life.

These "three holy mountains" are also mentioned in Shan Hai Jing, so Shan Hai Jing is not necessarily from the pre-Qin period. Perhaps after Xu Fudong crossed the river, "Penglai, Abbot and Yingzhou" became famous. The book editor wrote the names of these three mountains in the book, so I suspect that the book Shan Hai Jing should have been written after the death of Qin Shihuang. If The Classic of Mountains and Seas was written in the pre-Qin period, someone must have known it during the Qin Shihuang period. In this way, Xu Fu's theory of "Penglai, Abbot and Yingzhou Mountain" can't frighten Qin Shihuang.

Therefore, it should be said that the three sacred mountains of Penglai, Abbot and Yingzhou were invented by Xu Fu. Shan Hai Jing should have been written after the death of Qin Shihuang, not from the pre-Qin period.

It should be: first, there are three fairy mountains "Penglai, Abbot and Yingzhou" on the sea fabricated by Xu Fu, and Qin Shihuang believed them. Then Xu Fudong escaped, and then someone wrote the names of these three fairy mountains into Shan Hai Jing.
