Brief introduction of Sixi doll
This sculpture doll collected in Tongling has a plump figure, delicate eyes, heavy ears, happiness, gentleness and vividness. This bronze sculpture is square, about 8 cm long, wide and high. Its shape is a pair of lively and lovely belly dolls, with a banana fan in one hand and a gold ingot in the other, which looks playful. After clever combination, two dolls were transformed into four children's plays. No matter from which point of view, children stand or lie, or back or right, which constitutes four complete children. This is the ingenious and unique concept of "four happy dolls". According to the staff of the Cultural Management Institute, the shape of "Sixi Doll" has a long history. Before the Ming dynasty, it was mainly in the form of paper-cutting, and after the Ming dynasty, copper casting appeared. According to the historical records of Qianlong period in Qing Dynasty, "Sixi Doll" was regarded as "XiShen" in the wedding custom at that time and was deeply loved by the people.
