Cai Yuanpei always believed in Lu Xun and helped him all the way. When Lu Xun was desperate in his hometown, he made Lu Xun a civil servant of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China. When the Ministry of Education moved from Nanjing to Beijing, the new minister didn't like Lu Xun's complaints and wanted to fire him. Cai Yuanpei saw Lu Xun on the layoff list and helped him stay.

The sum of Qian Junfu, Lu Xun and Li Sui
Lu Xun and Li Suizhi, a famous doctor of medicine in modern times and the founder of Zhejiang Medical University, and Qian Junfu, the father of Qian Xuesen, are close friends.
