Shen Xiangyang was born in Lishui District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. Artificial intelligence expert, foreign academician of the National Academy of Engineering, and foreign academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Chair Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Double Professor of the Institute of Advanced Studies of Tsinghua University, Founding Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Institute of Digital Economy (Futian) and former global executive vice president of Microsoft.
Dr Shen Xiangyang mainly studies computer, vision, graphics, human-computer interaction, statistical learning, pattern recognition and robotics. His quadtree spline function algorithm is one of the best motion parameter estimation algorithms in the world. He has published hundreds of papers in computer vision, computer graphics, pattern recognition, statistical learning and robotics, and holds more than 50 American patents.
Shen Xiangyang's Personal Achievements
Shen Xiangyang's doctoral thesis is the earliest research on transforming photos into virtual reality in the world, and the quadtree spline function algorithm designed is one of the best motion parameter estimation algorithms in the world. 1994, when Shen Xiangyang published the first three-dimensional full-true model, almost no one had done similar work in this field. 1996, Shen Xiangyang invented the concentric puzzle method, which simplified the four-dimensional all-optical function into a three-dimensional function, thus greatly reducing the amount of data to be collected.
Shen Xiangyang's professional level in robot research is currently in the leading position in the world. No one will doubt that. At the beginning of the Microsoft Xiao Bing team, Shen Xiangyang was in charge. Xiao Bing was founded on 20 13 and officially launched on 14.
