The Human Landscape of Qixingfeng Geopark
Qixingfeng Geopark is rich in cultural landscape. The mountainside of Qixing Peak is the former site of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Base. The People's Government of Jixian County established the "Monument to the Martyrs of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Forces" here, and the inscription contains the names and resumes of the anti-Japanese martyrs who died heroically here. At that time, the Sixth Army, the Seventh Army and the Eleventh Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition took Qixing Peak as the revolutionary base and carried out arduous revolutionary activities, which dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese aggressors. At the foot of Qixing Peak, an anti-Japanese secret camp, an arsenal and a clothing factory were established. After the founding of New China, it is a famous memorial site for the old revolutionary base areas in the province. Xu Guanghai, director of the Political Department of the First Division of the Sixth Army, and Jin Gen, director of the Political Department of the First Division of the Eighth Army, died here. Chen Lei and CoCo Lee, the old generals of the Anti-Japanese Union, have made special trips here for many times to pay tribute to the revolutionary martyrs. Comrade CoCo Lee once wrote a poem on the spot: "Eighty brave men climbed to the top of the cliff and fought day and night for the pass. Repel the enemy's 3000 people, and the blood of a strong man will be stained with seven stars. Loyal bones stand in the air, and tears are sprinkled to worship ghosts. "
