The wall made of red bricks is as high as the window on the second floor. A granite boundary pillar of 25×40 cm is embedded in the top of the wall. The inscription reads "This wall is managed by Chen Yi", and the handwriting is clearly visible. There are more than 20 houses in the whole building, with small blue tile roofs and square blue brick floors. The courtyard is quiet and pleasant, facing the gate. There is a century-old well with a round slate manhole cover, which is well preserved and still used by residents.
Chen Mingren's former residence was the only residence built by General Chen Mingren in Liling in the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937). Also known as "Liangzhuang", it faces south. Chen Mingren (1April 7, 903-65438+May 2 1, 0974) was born in Chen Jialing, Hongyuan Village, Hongyuan Township, Liling City, Hunan Province. 1924 graduated from whampoa military academy. During his revolutionary career, he served as major general, brigade commander, lieutenant general, army commander, corps commander and acting chairman of Hunan provincial government. /kloc-0 led the uprising in Changsha on August 4, 949, and later served as commander of 2 1 Corps, chairman of Hunan Provisional Government, deputy commander of Hunan Military Region, and commander of 55th Army.
