He is a famous calligrapher and calligraphy critic.
He studied under Chai Jianguo, Lin Peng and Wei Junxiu. Be able to write various styles, especially cursive. His calligraphy works won the first prize of Shanxi University Students Calligraphy Competition and the second prize of Shanxi Mass Calligraphy Competition, and were selected into the first national fan calligraphy exhibition, winning many awards in the national calligraphy competition.
