Zhang Fang (1886- 1966) was born in Tiemen, Xin 'an County, Henan Province. Graduated from the Artillery Department of Baoding Army Accelerated School, 1946 Army General.

After graduating from Baoding Army Crash School, Zhang Fang was assigned to Shaanxi New Army as a platoon leader. After Wuchang Uprising, he took part in Xi 'an Uprising and served as the commander-in-chief of Hanjun East Road Conquest Army in Qin Long.

After the founding of the Republic of China, he served as the commander of the second division of Shaanxi Army, the garrison commander of Hanzhong and the garrison commander of southern Shaanxi. 19 17 served as the deputy commander of Shaanxi province. 1928, he served as a member of the Henan provincial government and director of the construction department.

1930, Zhang laisheng, acting chairman of Henan provincial government and commander-in-chief of the 20 th Route Army. At the beginning of the following year, he served as director of the Civil Affairs Department of Henan Province, commander-in-chief of the 20th Route Army and division commander of the 76th Division. 1935 was elected as the fifth alternate executive member of the Kuomintang Central Committee. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he served as the head of the No.1 12 Legion, the commander-in-chief of the No.1 1 Theater Reserve Army, and the vice chairman and acting chairman of the Military Senate.

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Zhang Fang served as the national policy adviser of the National Government. 1946 was elected as the executive member of the Sixth Central Committee of the Kuomintang. 1948 was elected chairman of the presidium of the National Assembly. From 65438 to 0949, he served as director of appeasement in the border region of Henan, Shaanxi and Hubei, and later announced the uprising in Chengdu. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), he was elected as a member of the Second China People's Political Consultative Conference.
