Following the liberation of China, the Guangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China 1 1949, which was established in Wuhan on June 3, decided that Xu Jiangping, former secretary of Wuhan Public Security Bureau, and Ke Defu, former public security director of Piaohe City, Henan Province, were appointed as the director and deputy director of Guilin Public Security Bureau respectively. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Central China Bureau (later renamed Central South Bureau) transferred cadres from the old revolutionary base areas and some personnel from the South Working Group, North China University, Wuhan Huazhong Youth League School, Wuhan Public Security Bureau Training Brigade and other units to form the Guilin Public Security Task Force (the second brigade of the South Working Group). At the end of the same month, he went south with the People's Liberation Army and arrived in Guilin around 12 1.
