Basic introduction of cottonseed protein
Cottonseed protein is a high-protein product made from cottonseed by peeling and hulling, soaking in oil at low temperature, draining, and then removing gossypol. It is a new protein raw material listed in China. Experiments and applications in some dairy farms have proved that cottonseed protein can significantly increase the milk yield of dairy cows, improve the quality of dairy products and save feeding costs. It is a kind of cow protein feed with great application prospect. The dairy farm of Tianjin Workers' and Peasants' Union replaced 50% of soybean meal in the original feed formula with dephenolized cottonseed protein. The average milk yield of each cow increased by 2.5 kg, and the daily income of each cow increased by 3.28 yuan. In Hutubi Dairy Farm, Xinjiang, high-yield dairy cows were fed with dephenolized cottonseed protein instead of sunflower seed meal in the original feed formula. The average daily milk yield of each dairy cow increased by 0.53 kg, and the direct income increased by 0.8 1 yuan. In Nankou Farm of Beijing Sanyuan Green Lotus Breeding Center, 58% of soybean meal in the original feed formula was replaced by dephenolized cottonseed protein, and the average daily milk yield of each cow increased by 65438±0.62kg, and the net income increased by 2.65,438 0.5 yuan. The dephenolized cottonseed protein has been widely used in each farm of Pingjibao dairy farm in Ningxia, replacing 50% of soybean meal in the original feed formula, and the average daily milk yield of each cow increased by 65438±0.6kg, which increased the income of 2.9 yuan.

The phenomenon that dephenolized cottonseed protein can significantly improve milk yield and quality has attracted the attention of scholars and experts such as China Dairy Association and China Agricultural University. Professor Zhou Jianmin from the College of Animal Science and Technology of China Agricultural University made a special trip to investigate the dairy cattle breeding enterprises using dephenolized cottonseed protein in Xinjiang, Ningxia, and summarized and analyzed the data of feeding experiments and large-scale production experiments of nearly 4,000 lactating dairy cows. It was found that feeding dairy cows with cottonseed protein instead of 50%-75% soybean meal in concentrate formula increased the average daily milk production of each dairy cow by 2.88 kg, with an increase range of 13.8%. The direct economic benefit of each cow is increased by 2.87 yuan per day, and the new profit accounts for about 25%-30% of the total profit of cows. Professor Zhou Jianmin from the College of Animal Science and Technology of China Agricultural University believes that the amino acid fraction of cottonseed is relatively high in plant seeds. At present, the milk source bases of many well-known dairy enterprises, such as Yili in Inner Mongolia, Sanyuan in Beijing and Guangming in Shanghai, are using dephenolized cottonseed protein to feed dairy cows.
