Xiang Yu set foot in Xianyang, killing Zi Ying first, then burning Qin Gong, and conniving at his ministers to rob beautiful women. The Qin Gong fire burned for three months, and the Qin Empire was cremated. Qin Shihuang, who gave orders in this palace, saw this scene and dared not drive the Terracotta Warriors back. There was a problem to discuss at that time. Did Xiang Yu burn Epang Palace? The record in Historical Records is "burning Qin Gong", but Epang Palace has not yet been built, and it is unknown whether it will be burned. Du Mu said in A Gong Fang Fu that "Chu people burned to the ground". But Du Mu is not an archaeologist after all. After a series of studies, archaeologists proved that Epang Palace was not burned down.
The Qin people were extremely disappointed with Xiang Yu, and someone suggested to him: "Guanzhong has dangerous terrain and fertile land, so it can build its capital and dominate." Xiang Yu looked at Qin Gong, which was burned by himself and his vassals, and Xianyang, which was looted, and felt that he might as well stay at home. He said, "When you are rich, going home without clothes is like walking at night in beautiful clothes. Who can tell? " what did i say? Xiang Yu didn't realize that he should guard against arrogance and rashness, work hard, accumulate strength and dominate the world, but he was already thinking about returning home with clothes on. He not only ignored Pei Gong, but even ignored the world. Xiang Yu has the qualifications of a king, but he has no mind of a king.
Then it is to deal with the core and most difficult problem-the distribution of stolen goods. On this issue, Xiang Yu wrote to Wang Huai, hoping that Wang Huai would listen to himself. Wang Huai only answered two words: as scheduled. This means: only give Pei Gong a Guanzhong king, and nothing else. This is a difficult way to propose a toast. Xiang Yu revered Chu Huaiwang as the righteous emperor, that is, the emperor in name, and said to everyone, "Chu Huaiwang was founded by my uncle, and there was no meritorious military service. How do we do this? We are people who use him to serve the public, but we don't put our heads on our belts for revolution. You have to have one person and one king. " Everyone agrees. So who will share it? Xiang Yu, naturally.
Xiang Yu and Fan Zeng planned for a long time, but they felt that Pei Gong could not seal it, but they had to seal it, and they could not completely ignore the covenant with the king. However, they gave Pei Gong the land of Bashu, which was originally the place where Qin exiled prisoners, but also belonged to Guanzhong. Even if you are willing to go, the soldiers may not be willing to talk to you at night, so it is said that if you can't kill you, you will be sick to death. That's not all. Xiang Yu divided the State of Qin into three parts, named Yong Wang, whose territory is west of Xianyang, whose capital is Abandoned Hill (now Xingping City, Shaanxi Province), Sima Xin named Sai Wang, whose territory is the Yellow River east of Xianyang, and whose capital is Quercus (polyphony, sound and moon) Yang (now between Guanzhuang and Yubao Village, Wutun Town, Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province), whose capital was here, and Shang Yang was reformed. The site is Shang Jun (one of the 36 counties in Qin Dynasty, located in Yulin City, Yan 'an City, Shaanxi Province and Uxin Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region), and the capital is Gaonu (now the north bank of Yanhe River in the northeast of Yan 'an). This is the so-called Sanqin. In the past, Han, Zhao and Wei were divided into Jin. Today, three generals of the State of Qin carved up the land of the State of Qin. Its function is to clamp Pei Gong so that he can't move or dare to move his heart.
The other kings were: Zhang Er, the king of Changshan, whose territory was Zhao (now Xingtai, Hebei), Shenyang, the king of Henan, Luoyang, the capital, and Sima and Yin. N (Yin 'ang, some people think it's India), and its territory is Hanoi (Hehe, it belongs to China, so it's called Hanoi, because it is located in the east of the north bank of the Yellow River Depression, in the Yinshangji area. ), the capital is (now Qixian County, Hebi City, Henan Province), Jiujiang King, and the capital is Liu (his hometown, returning home in rags), Hengshan King, Guo Zhui (now Huanggang, Hubei Province), Wang, Guo Jiangling (now Jiangling, Hubei Province), Yan Zangcha, Guo (now southwest of Beijing) and Qi Capital. Wang Bao moved to the Western Wei Dynasty, Wang Hedong County, with Pingyang as its capital (now Xiangling West, Linfen, Shanxi). Moved to Zhao Wang Xie as the king and established the capital (now Wei County, Hebei Province). Han Guang, the prince of Yan, moved the capital to Liaodong, and the capital was built without end (now Jixian County, Tianjin). Move to Wangtian? King of Jiaodong, the capital of Jimo (now southeast of pingdu city). Cheng is still the king of Korea and lives in Yangzhai (now Yuzhou, Henan). This is the so-called 18th Route Warlord.
As for Xiang Yu, he called himself the overlord of Chu, with Pengcheng as his capital. Jiangling is the southern Chu, Wu is the eastern Chu, Pengcheng is the western Chu, and then choose one of the five tyrants in the Spring and Autumn Period to make you look different. The administrative planning system of the Qin Dynasty was divided into 36 counties. Later, it was probably to attack ethnic minorities and get more. Xiang Yu even took Wei from Chu (squeezing Wei Bao into the king of the Western Wei Dynasty), accounting for nine counties, equivalent to a quarter of the world. Moreover, the land in this area is fertile and the people are rich.
From the above, we can see several major bases for Xiang Yu's enfeoffment: First, whether he participated in the Battle of Julu, whether he participated in a big war, and whether he participated in a small war; Second, the original world pattern, some people did not participate in the war, but it has become a climate, that is, those who moved as mentioned above will shrink their territory and share the spoils with everyone; Third, they will lie to you, such as Pei Gong, and Wei Bao who moved to grab the site; Fourth, Xiang Yu's cronies, such as Qing Bu. Everything has its own rationality when it succeeds, and its own criticism when it fails. I can only say that Xiang Yu's method of enfeoffment failed.
At this point, Qin died and the world was divided up, but this enfeoffment system, like the distribution of interests after World War I, brought not peace, but another war, a war caused by uneven distribution of dirty things.
