Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology College is a provincial public full-time undergraduate college in Jilin Province, located in the northern river city-Jilin City, known as the rime capital. Jilin Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology is a century-old institution with a long history, and its school-running history can be traced back to Jilin Agricultural Secondary Specialized School founded by 1907. On June 5438- 10, 2003, the College of Agricultural Technology of Beihua University (Jilin Agricultural School) was merged into Jilin Professional College. In May, 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the newly established Jilin Characteristic College was upgraded to a full-time undergraduate college and renamed Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology College.
