People's Artist is a national honorary title awarded to solemnly commend meritorious model figures who have made outstanding contributions to the construction and development of new China.

The national honorary title is awarded to outstanding people who have made great contributions in various fields and industries, enjoyed high reputation, high moral quality and recognized by the masses.
