4. Water source protection Jiangang Reservoir is divided into primary water source protection sites and secondary water source protection sites. The first-class water source protection area starts from the dam and reaches Houzhai Bridge and Dongquan Bridge in the south, with a total water surface of 4.26 square kilometers, and the rest are second-class protection areas with a total area of 22.7 square kilometers. There are fences around the dam, more than 2000 meters around the dam and 4000 meters around the Helou River.
