In the Tang Dynasty, Chen's descendants included Chen's son, Chen Nian's son, Sun's great-grandson and Sun's great-grandson, and served as the military and political chief of Zhangzhou for five generations, which lasted for more than a hundred years. They link the past with the future and make great efforts to make the land of southern Fujian show a good scene of prosperity. Although their deeds were not recorded in the history books of the Tang Dynasty, they were widely circulated among Fujian people.
