The lion head of Gonghetang has a history of 100 years. It is a traditional famous spot of Han nationality and one of the unique cuisines in ancient Hefei, which is deeply loved by ordinary people in Luyang, Anhui Province. It has a crisp, loose, crisp and fragrant flavor. Legend has it that at the end of the Qing Dynasty, Li Hongzhang went back to his relatives in Hefei Province and went shopping. He was recognized by Li Guocheng, the great-grandfather of Li Changxin, the director of Hefei Gonghetang Food Factory, and invited him into the restaurant. The owner gave him homemade lion head tea, and nave was full of praise after tasting it. And happily wrote an inscription at the banquet: "All music follows the wind of all corners of the country and is a meeting of all businessmen." "Gonghetang Lion Head" got its name from this. But also a minor celebrity, which caused a sensation in Luyang. In order to carry forward the essence of China, Li Changxin, the fifth generation descendant of Gonghetang, founded Hefei Gonghetang Food Factory in 2002, and its products such as Gonghetang lion head, Gonghetang specialty dishes, Gonghetang rice shrimp sauce and diced pork sauce were rated as Luyang traditional snacks. Anhui Technology Import and Export Corporation took the initiative to require Gonghetang lion head products to be produced in South Korea and go to Southeast Asia. In 2004, the factory was rated as a "leading enterprise" and the trademark "Gonghetang Lion Head" was rated as a famous trademark in Hefei.
