Ma Liang 1

Ma Liang, a native of Yicheng, Xiangyang, was an official of Shu and Han in the Three Kingdoms period and the younger brother of Ma Su.

In the 14th year of Jian 'an, Liu Bei served as the animal husbandry in Jingzhou [2] and recruited Ma Liang as the state.

In the sixteenth year of Jian 'an, Liu Bei entered Shu, Zhuge Liang followed, and Ma Liang stayed in Jingzhou to assist Guan Yu.

In the first year of Zhangwu, Liu Bei proclaimed himself emperor, established the Shuhan regime, and appointed Ma Liang as assistant.

In the second year of Zhangwu, Liu Bei marched to Wu Dong and sent Ma Liang to woo Wu Ximan's ministries in Wuling area. The leaders of various ministries received the seal of Shu Han and replied to Liu Bei in succession.

In June of the same year, Liu Bei was defeated in the battle of Yiling, and Ma Liang was also killed.

Liu Bei appointed Ma Bing, the son of Ma Liang, as the captain on horseback.

2. Ma Wu

Ma Wu is a native of Huyang, Nanyang County.

A famous ZTE star in the Eastern Han Dynasty, one of the 28 generals of Yuntai.

When Ma Wu was young, he lived in Jiangxia to avoid the enemy.

In the last years of follwed, the people of Jingling and Xiyang rose up in the county boundary, and Ma Wu also participated. Later, he joined greenwood hero and the Han army.

Taking Ma Wu as assistant minister, Liu Xiu defeated Wang Xun in the battle of Kunyang.

3. Ma Yin

Ma Yin, a native of Yanling, Xuzhou, was the founding monarch of Southern Chu during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period.

Ma Yin claimed to be the general of Fu Bo, Ma Yuan, and became a carpenter in his early years.

In 884 (the fourth year of Zhonghe), Qin Zongquan rebelled against Cai Zhou (present-day Runan, Henan), and Ma Yin was drafted into the army, becoming the subordinate of Sun Ru, Commander-in-Chief of Zhong Wuguo, Long Xiang and Liu Jianfeng, who is famous for his bravery.

In 1985 (two years), Tang Zhaozong appointed Liu Jianfeng as the minister of left servant proofreading, Wu 'an Army as our time, and Ma Yin as the commander-in-chief inside and outside.

Soon, Jiang Xun asked Liu Jianfeng to be the secretariat of Shaozhou. After being rejected, he and Deng Jichong set out to attack Xiangtan.

4. Ma Yuan

5. Masu

Ma Su, a native of Yicheng, Xiangyang, was the younger brother of Ma Liang, a general of Shu and Han Dynasties.

At the beginning, Liu Bei entered Shu as Jingzhou, and successively served as Mianzhu County Magistrate, Chengdu County Magistrate and Yu Yue Taishou.

When Cao Cao knew that he was coming to attack, he sent Zhang He, the commander-in-chief, to stop Ma Su at the street pavilion.

Due to Ma Su's violation of Zhuge Liang's operational deployment, he abandoned the water source and stationed troops in Nanshan, with scattered forces and chaotic scheduling. Wang Ping, the pioneer of Ma Su, advised Ma Su many times, but Ma Su didn't adopt his strategy.

Moreover, Ma Su relies on the topography of Nanshan, and is not a city camping at the foot of the mountain.

Zhang He cut off Ma Su's water supply, launched an attack, defeated Ma Su, and Ma Su's soldiers fled.

Zhuge Liang had no place to enter the army, so he had to capture more than a thousand people in West County and return to Hanzhong.
