The film revolves around the journey of Bella, the dog, across 400 miles to go home. Lucas, the hero, meets Bella, the dog, in an abandoned building. Although bulldogs are forbidden in Denver, he still persuaded his mother to take Bella back to the Veterans Hospital where he works, bringing joy and comfort to patients.
