Yu Kuizhi is a famous Peking Opera performer in China, a national first-class actor, and also serves as the vice president of China National Peking Opera Academy, so he is affectionately called "Yu Yuan" by opera fans.
Yu Kuizhi studied under many Peking Opera predecessors, such as Yang, Ye Peng and so on. 1987, Yu Kuizhi won the Best Performance Award in the First National Young Peking Opera Actor TV Competition, and two years later won the Seventh Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award.

Yu Kuizhi plays Lin Xiangru in Peace between Men. He told the story of Lin Xiangru and General Lian Po during the Warring States Period. After Lin Xiangru returned to Zhao safely, he was appointed as the prime minister of Zhao. Lian Po took credit for his repeated provocations, and Lin Xiangru was patient for many times. Later, Beijing doctor Yu Qing persuaded Lian Po to regret it and went to Lin Xiangru Mansion to offer a humble apology. The two men made compensation.
