On May 27th, 2004, Tengzhou General Zhang Yan's ashes laying ceremony was held in Tengzhou Martyrs Cemetery. Attending the ceremony of laying General Zhang Yan's ashes were Zhang Tingjiang, the eldest son of General Zhang Yan (general manager of CITIC Shenzhen Financial Leasing Company), Hao Jianchang, the son-in-law of General Zhang Yan (director of the political department of the General Armament Department), Wang Changpei, deputy director of the cadre department of the political department of the General Armament Department, and Lin Guoqiang, deputy director of the headquarters secretariat of the General Armament Department. Niu, Du Yongguang, Wei, Zhang Heze, officers and men of Tengzhou People's Armed Forces Department, Communication Brigade, Fourth Reserve Corps of Armed Police Force, representatives from all walks of life and some teachers and students attended the ceremony.
