Topography: Fuxin is adjacent to Horqin Sandy Land in the north, Liaohe Plain in the east and Nuerhu Mountain in the west, which belongs to the transitional zone between Inner Mongolia grassland and rocky mountain in North China. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, with Xihe Basin and Liuhe Plain in the middle. The main rivers in the territory are Raoyang River, Liuhe River, Yangximu River, Xihe River and Mangniu River, with a drainage area of 10362 square kilometers. The hills and mountains in Fuxin area are widely distributed, accounting for 58% of the total area, of which sandy land accounts for 19% and plain accounts for 23%. The main mountain ranges in the territory are Wulanmutu Mountain, Camel Mountain, Daqing Mountain, Qinglong Mountain, Haitang Mountain and Yimatu Mountain.
