1September, 1986, with the approval of the head office of the People's Bank of China and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, the company received the License for Financial Business and the License for Foreign Exchange Business.
1990 10 in June, the company was renamed as "Guangdong Cai Yue Trust and Investment Company".
1993, the Dongying business department of the stock exchange officially opened, and the company began to trade listed stocks as an agent. In the same year, Shanghai Securities Business Department and Shenzhen Securities Business Department opened one after another.

From June 5 to 10, 2000, the Guangdong provincial government approved the establishment of Guangdong Cai Yue Investment Holding Co., Ltd. on the basis of Guangdong Cai Yue Trust and Investment Co., Ltd.
In August, 2002, the company successfully completed the reorganization and restructuring, from the original wholly state-owned enterprise to a limited liability company, renamed as "Guangdong Cai Yue Trust and Investment Co., Ltd.", and was allowed to re-register and become the only provincial trust and investment company in Guangdong Province.
In 2003, on the basis of institutional reform, the company adjusted its business direction, and launched new trust products according to the principle of "being entrusted by others to manage money on behalf of others", taking providing trust services and capital operation for the capital market as the main direction of the company's business transformation and opening up new profit growth points.
In April 2005, the company successfully completed the first information disclosure of Cai Yue Trust in accordance with the requirements of the Interim Measures for the Administration of Information Disclosure of Trust and Investment Companies issued by China Banking Regulatory Commission.
In July 2007, according to the requirements of the new Administrative Measures for Trust Companies, the company changed its name and business scope with the approval of China Banking Regulatory Commission. The company was renamed as "Guangdong Cai Yue Trust Co., Ltd.".
