War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression
1925 Joined China * * * and participated in the Jute Uprising. Successively served as the fourth independent division commander of the Red Fourth Army of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army, the commander of the Red 25th Army and the head of the Red 15th Army Corps, and successfully defended the northern Shaanxi base area.
During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, he served as the brigade commander of the 344th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army 1 15 Division, the deputy commander of the Jiangbei Headquarters of the New Fourth Army and the commander of the fourth detachment. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as a member of the People's Revolutionary Military Commission.
1955 was awarded the rank of general and won the first-class August 1st Medal, the first-class Medal of Independence and Freedom and the first-class Medal of Liberation. He is a member of the first, second and third national defense committees and the eighth and ninth central committees of China.
