Fudan High School is an experimental and demonstrative high school in Shanghai, with the same roots as Fudan University, which was jointly founded by Changning District People's Government and Fudan University. 1950 Mayor Chen Yi inscribed the name of Fudan Middle School. The school, formerly known as Fudan Public School, was founded by Ma, a famous educator in China. 1905. In the course of one hundred years' development, it has gone through three stages: Fudan Public School, Fudan High School Attached to Fudan High School, and Fudan High School Attached to Fudan High School, and trained a large number of cultural celebrities, masters and 15 academicians such as Chen Yinque, Luo Jialun, Hu Sheng and Jin Chongji. Over the past century, Fudan Middle School has trained a batch of cultural celebrities, famous teachers and academicians for the country, and delivered tens of thousands of national pillars.

In May 2020, Fudan University and Changning District Government decided to jointly build Fudan Middle School, and build Fudan Middle School into a first-class experimental demonstration high school in Shanghai and a famous modern school at home and abroad. On the afternoon of May 7th, the signing ceremony for the joint construction of Fudan Middle School between Changning District and Fudan University was held. Jiao Yang, Party Secretary of Fudan University, Wang Weiren, Secretary of Changning District Committee, and Wang Lan, District Chief attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches.

In September 2020, Fudan University decided that Li Qiuming would be the principal of Fudan Middle School. Comrade Ling Weizhong is the vice president of Fudan Middle School.
