Guo Qi studied painting since childhood. He is intelligent and studious. As early as 13 years old, he studied Chinese painting with Liu Zizhen, a master of Chinese painting, specializing in boneless flowers and birds. Graduated from the Chinese Department of Liaoning University, and then admitted to Shenyang Light Industry Workers College majoring in art and decoration design, systematically studied sketch, color, sculpture, oil painting, Chinese painting, decorative painting, decorative design and other professional courses. He was carefully guided and taught by Professor Lu Mei, which laid a solid foundation for his later artistic creation, and traveled all over the country, collecting folk customs and sketching, and accumulated rich life materials.

Guo Qi's painting style is mainly freehand brushwork. He specializes in feathered flowers and birds and is good at all subjects. His flower-and-bird paintings are lively and interesting.
