He was carefully guided and taught by Professor Lu Mei, which laid a solid foundation for his later artistic creation, and traveled all over the country, collecting folk customs and sketching, and accumulated rich life materials.

Guo Qi's painting style is mainly freehand brushwork. He specializes in feathered flowers and birds and is good at all subjects. His flower-and-bird paintings are lively and interesting.
