Kunlun College of Qinghai University is located in the Biotechnology Industrial Park in Xining City, Qinghai Province. It is an independent college approved by the Ministry of Education of Qinghai University in 2004 and the only full-time undergraduate independent college in Qinghai Province.

Adhering to the fine tradition and educational philosophy of Qinghai University, the College adheres to the school-running philosophy of "people-oriented, moral education first, ability first and all-round development" and the school-running philosophy of "relying on Tsinghua, standardizing school-running, paying attention to quality and highlighting characteristics", and is committed to cultivating applied high-skilled talents facing the needs of local and regional social and economic development.
