The Father of China's Flying-Feng Ru

Feng Ru, formerly known as Feng Jiuru, was born in Enping County, Guangdong Province, and his family was poor. /kloc-When he was 0/2 years old, he went to San Francisco to work and study with his relatives. /kloc-at the age of 0/8, he began to study mechanical manufacturing in new york. At the age of 23, he was already a well-known machine power manufacturer. Under the sponsorship of local overseas Chinese, Feng Ru set up an aircraft factory in Oakland, USA at the age of 24, namely 1907.

1September, 909, the first plane designed and manufactured by China people flew into the blue sky, which caused a sensation in the United States and was reported by major media. It is called "Oriental Wright" and writes the first page of China's flight to Shi Guanghui.

19 1 1 year, Feng Ru successfully developed a new aircraft with good performance, and the test flight was a complete success. In the same year, he declined many invitations from the United States and realized the oath that "the plane will never return to China if it can't be built." He returned home with an assistant and a plane, ready to develop the civil aviation industry and serve the country. Unfortunately, in 19 12, when an air show was held in Tang Yan, Feng Ru was in a hurry to climb, causing the plane to stall and fall to the ground, causing injuries. Although he was rescued by the hospital, he was still declared dead at the age of 29. On his deathbed, he still encouraged his assistant: "Don't let you lose your enterprising spirit after I die."

Feng Ru was the first aircraft designer, aircraft manufacturer, aviation pilot and founder of civil aviation in China. After his death, he was posthumously awarded as a major general of the army, and his body was buried in Huanghuagang, where a monument was erected to commemorate him and he was honored as the "father of China's flight."

Sun Yat-sen advocated "saving the country by aviation"

Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the father of our country, foresaw the importance of airplanes and air forces in China, and once said, "An airplane is naturally beneficial to marching"; 19 15, China revolutionary party aviation school pointed out that "airplane will be the decisive weapon in the future war" and vigorously advocated "saving the country by aviation". The establishment of the China Air Force, however, finally gathered into bits and pieces in the blue wisp of the road, and gradually became a sea.

When Dr. Sun Yat-sen raised money for the revolution overseas in the late Qing Dynasty, local overseas Chinese presented two Eric planes made in Austria. Overseas Chinese hoped that the plane could be used for revolutionary action, but when the plane arrived in Nanyuan, China, Wuchang Uprising had been successful.

The government of the Republic of China was established in Nanjing on19110. Vice President Li was deeply impressed by these two planes. Later, in 19 13, the government purchased the 12 G-3 biplane trainer from France and hired two French flight instructors to establish Nanyuan Aviation School in China.

1923, the Soviet union sent representatives to Shanghai to talk with the founding fathers, and promised to assist the government of the Republic of China in establishing an excellent army and air force. The following year, Russian flight instructors arrived in Guangzhou. In the same year, Guangzhou Aviation School was established, and eight students including Wang Shuming were selected from the first graduates of the Army Military Academy (Whampoa Military Academy) to enter the aviation school for training. At this time, the aviation school is still affiliated to the army. After the Sino-Japanese War broke out and the relationship between Japan and Russia eased, the Russian advisory group withdrew to Russia, but it also brought up many talents for China.

After the death of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, in June 1928, Jiang started an aviation class at Nanjing Central Army Military Academy, temporarily suspending the school affairs of Nanyuan Aviation School. At that time, patriotic overseas Chinese enthusiastically donated money and bought 26 trainers for the training of the newly established Nanjing Aviation School. 1931April, Nanjing aviation school moved to Hangzhou jianqiao. On September 1932 and 1 day, Nanjing Aviation School was expanded and renamed as "Central Aviation School", with Jiang Zhongzheng as the first principal, and the motto "I regard the success or failure of our education as the final success or failure of the China Revolution". This is also the origin of the "September 1" celebration of the Air Force Military Academy.

(Left) Captain Gao Zhihang is known as the "Air Force God of War".

Before and after the establishment of China Air Force, he got the help of many foreign pilots, including Charles Lindbergh, who completed the pioneering work of flying across the Atlantic alone. On September 193 19 (the day after the September 18th Incident), Lin Bai and his wife jointly flew a Sirius seaplane made by Lockheed to Mochou Lake in Nanjing along the coastline. They wanted to visit, but because Japanese warlords launched the war of aggression against China, they saw the Yangtze River flooding and people's lives were difficult. Mr. and Mrs. Lin Bai canceled their scheduled activities and volunteered to participate.

Charles Lindbergh, an American pilot, successfully flew from new york to Paris alone with 1927, completing the first nonstop transatlantic flight in history.

1932 "1February 28th" After the Battle of Songhu, due to the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, most of the air force lost its combat power. The National Government hired retired Major Qiu Lide of the US Army to recruit 23 flight consultants and mechanical consultants to help establish a modern air force. After visiting the Central Aviation School in Jianqiao, Hangzhou, this American advisory group helped to train national pilots, formulated a five-year aviation development plan, greatly reformed the aviation team affiliated to the Army, and rebuilt its combat effectiveness, so it officially became an independent service-1937 Air Force of the Republic of China.
