How do recruiters evaluate and select resumes?
Like any powerful advertisement, it has nothing to do with the products sold, but with the buyers and what they want. It is a common fact that employers and hiring managers didn't spend time (20 to 30 seconds per resume) reading the first round of resumes: they just glanced at them. So, pay attention to the needs of the employer, not your needs. This may be your best chance to make a good first impression. Therefore, it is worthwhile to take some time to tidy up your resume.

For any potential employer, a resume must address the following key issues:

1.? Transferable skills: These skills can be directly used by employers in your new position. For example, time management, project management, people leadership, goal orientation and excellent delivery. These skills can be proved by previous professional and non-professional work experience. These are extremely valuable for any new employer-because you can work hard from day one without knowing the organizational background.

2.? Domain skills: These skills are acquired over a period of time, depending on your industry and functional experience. For example, you may have deep experience in e-commerce or automobile industry. In addition, you may be mainly engaged in sales/marketing/operation roles in a specific industry. For very advanced or professional positions, these positions are particularly important, because in these positions, the employer takes you to solve specific problems or implement specific projects.

3.? Vocational/educational background: Employers use your vocational and educational background to determine your background. Although this sounds like elite or judgment, most hiring managers and HR/ recruitment professionals use big brands or well-known brands instead of the expected quality level. This does have a double-edged sword. If you have an excellent brand in your resume, but your work documents and your packaging plan are not prominent, it will lead to a lot of disappointment, because people may really build expectations.
