Yang Fei: 1927 was born in Nankang County, Jiangxi Province. 1949 joined the People's Liberation Army of China, and served as an instrumental music leader and composer in the Propaganda Team of the Military and Political University of the Fourth Corps of the Second Field Army. He regards Yunnan as his second hometown, and besides having a beautiful place, he has also composed dozens of excellent songs such as "Carrying a bucket up the mountain" and "Frontier Pastoral".

1954, 27-year-old Yang Fei went to Ruili to collect folk songs and experience life. When I came to a banyan tree at the top of Mengxiu Mountain in Mengxiu Township, Ruili City, Yang Fei looked at it from a distance. Ruili dam in the sun is green and boundless, and the Ruili river slowly flows through the dam. This situation inspired Yang Fei's music creation. A beautiful and euphemistic song "There is a Beautiful Place" was born and sung all over the country, especially after it became the theme song of the movie "Menglongsha".

Composer Yang Fei visited Dehong many times after he left Dehong. Yang Fei was invited to attend the 50th anniversary celebration of Dehong. Shortly before his death, Yang Fei came to Dehong again to see this charming place. He died in Kunming on1October 28th1kloc-0/May 25th, 2007, at the age of 80. After Yang Fei's death, the government of Dehong fulfilled Yang Fei's last wish and buried him in Mengxiu Mountain in Ruili, leaving him the land he loved forever.
