According to the reporter's understanding, according to the provincial government's efforts to speed up the construction and deployment of the "two sets and two scattered ports" in our province, the Office of the Provincial Port Development Coordination Committee has studied the Soochow operation area in Wu Dong Port Area on the north bank of Meizhou Bay, taking the lead in developing deep-water berths in provincial ports. There are three berths 13 with a tonnage of over 10,000 tons in the Wu Dong operation area, which are included in the development of provincial deepwater berths 1 # to 8#, with a construction scale of 500,000 to 654.38 million tons. At present, three deep-water berths, No.3, No.4 and No.5, are under construction. The construction scale of these three berths is 50,000-ton deep-water berths, with a total coastline of1.034m, a designed annual throughput of 5 million tons and a total investment of 654.38 billion yuan.
Li Chuan pointed out in the investigation that the development of deepwater berths in Wu Dong Port should be unified and scientific, and the planning should be long-term and forward-looking, so as to prevent sporadic and disorderly development, coordinate port development, strengthen the management of shoreline resources and make good use of every meter of shoreline resources.
