Su Yu Yun
Su is one of the most famous painters in Vietnam in the first half of the 20th century. She has influenced several generations of domestic painters and won high praise from foreign art circles.
Su 1906 12 15 was born in Hanoi, and his ancestral home was Chunqiu Village, Wenjiang County, Xing 'an Province. 1926- 193 1 studying in the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts, 1939- 1945 teaching there. After the August Revolution, she was the principal of the first art school in the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Her students and young Vietnamese artists are full of admiration and admiration every time they mention her. She participated in the Paris Art Exhibition in 193 1 and 1932, and won the gold medal of the Paris Colonial Art Exhibition in193/and the honorary certificate issued by the French Artists Association in 1932. 1993 was elected as a member of the French Artists Association, and 1933 won the Vietnam Arts and Crafts Exhibition Award. 1954 won the first prize of Hanoi National Art Exhibition. Many of her paintings are collected by Vietnam Art Museum, museums and individuals in many countries around the world.
1June, 954, Su was killed in the Battle of Dien Bien Phu. The Vietnamese government awarded her the Ho Chi Minh Literature and Art Award and the First Class Medal of Independence. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have streets named after her.
