(1835 ~ 1908), the birth mother of the Tongzhi emperor. As the empress dowager, she was called the "uncrowned queen" in the late Qing Dynasty. Before her death, outsiders called her Empress Dowager Cixi, Notre Dame, Empress Nora and Empress Dowager Western. Since the Guangxu period, the palace and the court began to call her "Lafayette".
