The major of administration belongs to the School of Public Administration. The undergraduate education in this school adopts the training mode of "thick foundation, wide caliber and emphasis on methods" Basic courses cover a wide range, specialized courses are close to practice, method courses lead the whole process, and social practice is rich and colorful. The college implements the undergraduate tutorial system, and the tutor gives all-round guidance to the undergraduate's study and life.
The college recruits undergraduates according to "public management", and carries out basic course teaching according to "public management" in the first academic year. In the second academic year, students choose their major independently, namely, administration, land resource management and urban management.

School of Public Administration, founded in 1986, is one of the earliest institutions in China to carry out higher education in administration. At present, the Department of Administration has become a training base for national civil servants and public management professionals. And has established extensive and close ties with universities and academic institutions at home and abroad. The teaching characteristics of the Department of Administration are: strengthening the training of basic theory, basic knowledge and basic skills, paying attention to quality education, emphasizing the cultivation of intelligence, and emphasizing the close combination of theory and practice.

The courses of the seminar are taught by senior teachers from the Department of Administration and related majors.
