Whitney Houston's Early Experience
1963 On August 9th, Whitney Houston was born in Newark, New Jersey, USA. She is the third and youngest child of John and Xixi Houston. His mother herself, her cousin and godmother Aretha Franklin are all famous for gospel music, rhythm and blues and soul music. From the age of 1 1, she followed in their footsteps as a solo in the primary gospel choir of the local church. After 16 years old, Whitney began to model and appeared in 17 magazine as a black model, breaking the white-dominated situation at that time.

As a teenager, Whitney spent most of her time in nightclubs with her mother. 1977, 14 years old, became the lead singer of Michael Zag's single "A Party of Life".
