Gu Mu, 19 14 September, was born in Rongcheng County, Shandong Province. In his early years, he served as secretary of the Party branch of the Seventh Rural Normal School (now Deng Rong Normal College). 1934 served as the main person in charge of Peiping Left-wing Writers' Union. 1936 served as secretary of the CPC working Committee of Northeast Army 1 12 Division.
During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, Gu Mu successively served as the head of the United Front Work Department of Shandong Branch, the Eighth Route Army 1 15 Division and the head of the United Front Work Department of Shandong Military Region, and the political commissar of the Second Military Division of Binhai Military Region. He organized and mobilized the masses to accuse the traitors, reduced rents and interest rates, fully developed production, and further improved the lives of local farmers.
During the War of Liberation, Gu Mu served as Secretary-General of East China Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of Binhai District Committee and Political Commissar of Binhai Military Division, Secretary of Special Committee of Xinhailian and Political Commissar of Garrison. He organized and mobilized cadres and the masses to carry out land reform and join the army to support the army, which effectively ensured the victory of the Huaihai Campaign and the Crossing River Campaign.
After the founding of New China, Gu Mu served as secretary and mayor of Jinan Municipal Committee. He took effective measures to resume the development of industry, completed the land reform in an all-round way, and gradually established a new democratic economic model in Jinan with the state-owned economy as the leading factor and various economic components coexisting.
1952 In March, Gu Mu was transferred to the position of Minister of Propaganda Department of Shanghai Municipal Committee, as Minister of Industry of East China Bureau and Deputy Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Committee. He is in charge of industry and transportation in Shanghai. While solving the production difficulties of state-owned enterprises, he actively did a good job in private industry and commerce and promoted the socialist transformation of private industry and commerce in Shanghai.
After 1954 12, Gu Mu successively served as the deputy director of the State Construction Committee, the deputy director of the State Council No.3 Office, the director of the State Infrastructure Construction Committee and the director of the State Import and Export Administration Committee.
1978, 64-year-old Gu Mu served as the political commissar and the first secretary of the Party Committee of the PLA Infrastructure Engineering Corps. Over the past five years, together with Li Renlin, the head of the Corps of Engineers, he has made important contributions to the construction of national key capital construction projects and new troops and commandos of national defense projects.
From 65438 to 0980, Gu Mu served as secretary of the Central Secretariat. 1In May 1982, he was appointed State Councilor of the State Council. 1988 In April, Gu Mu was elected as the vice chairman of China People's Political Consultative Conference.
On June 6th, 2009, Comrade Gu Mu, an outstanding party member of China, a tried and tested loyal communist fighter, a proletarian revolutionary and an outstanding comrade in China's economic construction front, died in Beijing at the age of 96.
