Li Xing Town is located in the northwest of Taihe County, at the junction of two provinces, three counties and cities. Jurisdiction over 12 village committees, with a total area of 68 square kilometers, a population of 70,000 and 70,000 mu of cultivated land. Among them, the built-up area of the market town is 3.5 square kilometers, and the population is10.5 million. Most of the cultivated land in Li Xing belongs to the Yellow River flood area, which was once called "Li Xing granary". The fertile land is suitable for the growth of Chinese herbal medicines such as Platycodon grandiflorum. For a long time, Li Xing Town has a tradition of planting medicinal materials.

In recent years, the town party committee government has firmly grasped the central link of developing the production of Chinese herbal medicines such as Radix Platycodonis, Radix Isatidis (also known as Radix Isatidis) and Radix Paeoniae Alba, and actively expanded and strengthened the Radix Platycodonis industry by relying on the export-oriented drive. The production, purchase and sale of Chinese herbal medicines have promoted the development of various undertakings in the town, and initially embarked on an export-oriented agricultural development road that conforms to the reality of Li Xing, effectively realizes agricultural efficiency and increases farmers' income.
