The reporter asked Yu Hua: "What was your inspiration for writing" Living "?" What was Yu Hua's answer at that time?
A reporter once asked Yu Hua, where did he get the inspiration for writing "Living"? Yu Hua said that he was inspired by an American folk song "Old Negro" that he overheard. He wanted to write such a novel because he was moved by the old black slave who embraced the world after suffering in the song. Here, we can see such excellent works as Alive.

I got to know Yu Hua because of a book, Alive. In the book, the author describes the life of the protagonist "Fu Gui" with simple words. Surprisingly, after watching Fu Gui, it tends to be a tragedy, but it is not a tragedy, and it is definitely not a comedy life. I am not sad, but lost in thought: I was originally piled up by suffering but still stubbornly optimistic. This is the "alive" posture.

The book "To Be Alive" has caused me to think about life and inspired me a lot. I see what is "pity" and what is sadness from the grandson of the protagonist in Yu Hua's works. I also learned what life and happiness are from Fu Gui's life and two sentences in the book.

1, Thinking 1: What's the difference between pathetic and pathetic? Starving poor, supporting poor. Looking at many tragic figures in Living, Yan Xiaoer was most impressed and embarrassed. In fact, this is the death of Fu Gui's grandson.

The bitter root of grandson is the continuation of Fu Gui's daughter's life. In order to give birth to Bitter Root, Fu Gui's daughter Xia Feng died in the maternity bed. Then, Fu Gui lost her son-in-law Hill, who deeply loved her daughter.

Hill is a porter. He finally married his favorite Xia Feng and lived a quiet life. Although he cherished this life, he didn't get God's blessing. God gave him a son, but he took his wife. After his wife died in childbirth, it was his son who kept Hill alive.

It's just that Hill had time to raise Coogan, who was crushed to death by two slates at the construction site. The last thing he shouted before he died was Kugan.

Without the bitter roots of my parents, I finally came to live in the countryside with Fu Gui.

However, although Fu Gui was precious, Coogan died in an unexpected way.

Because Coogan was ill, Fu Gui cooked beans for Coogan, but even beans were rare food for Coogan, who was in pain. He didn't die of illness or starve to death, but lived by eating beans.

The emotion set by the author Yu Hua here is cruel and exaggerated, which is surprising, but it also makes me think: Isn't life like this? It is pitiful to die of want, but when people in need can be suddenly satisfied, this "satisfaction" may not bring "hope" and "happiness", but a hidden danger. Here, although starving to death is pitiful, it is really "sad" to die. Do you want to arouse fighting spirit or greed to destroy reason? This is a problem worth thinking about, and it is also a problem that many people are facing or may face in the future.

2. Thinking 2: Happiness is the gathering of family members. Each of us can say that we are running and struggling for the happiness of ourselves or our families now and in the future. Here, we may leave our hometown or even be separated from our families, thus gaining more opportunities.

But Yu Hua told us with his life: "As long as the family is together every day, they don't care about the blessings."

What do people want in life? Apprentice? Fame and fortune? In the end, only we can deeply understand that success in official career and fame and fortune are blessings, and these blessings can't fill the emptiness of life without family and friends to share with us.

What we pursue always pays a corresponding price, so we are far from home, but we can't forget the direction of happiness, and we can't lose the most cherished "happiness" when we pursue happiness.

The happiness of our common people is sometimes really simple, just simple rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea.

3. Thinking 3: To live is to endure the happiness and pain, boredom and mediocrity that reality gives us. Fu Gui described by Yu Hua has experienced too many ups and downs. He didn't worry about food and clothing, but he liked gambling and ruined his wealth. When he was sober and determined to cheer up, he was caught on the way to seek medical treatment for his mother. When he came home, his mother had died for many years, and his loyal and tenacious wife helped him grow up.

I thought that after he came back, life would be on the right track, but tragedy followed. Because the son has the same blood type as the county magistrate's wife, he died of excessive blood drawing when saving the county magistrate's wife; His daughter married Hill, a porter, but died on the delivery bed during childbirth. His son-in-law was killed by two stone slabs at work, and his wife could not live and sleep after the child died. And his grandson, bitter root, because he seldom eats beans, once fell ill and ate too many beans and died.

Fu Gui, who came to this world alone all his life, was accompanied by a big family, but things were impermanent. Repeated sufferings finally made him go alone, lonely and desolate. At this time, he still chose to "live" without regrets.

Fu Gui's "alive" posture made Yan Xiaoer look at life from the perspective of embracing suffering for the first time, as Yu Hua said in his book:

As a word, "alive" is full of power in China's language. Its strength does not come from shouting or attacking, but from enduring, enduring the responsibility given by life, enduring the happiness and pain given by reality, boredom and mediocrity.

We have been escaping from the suffering in life and the boredom and mediocrity in life. However, happiness and difficulties are intertwined, which is what life looks like. Boredom and mediocrity are the inevitable normality in life. Avoidance is useless, distress and regret can't play any role, because this is "living".

4. Suffering is precious, happiness is hard to find, and boredom is hard to find. The bravest thing is to discover the truth of life and still love it. I think Fu Gui written by Yu Hua is such an old man. And we need Fu Gui's calm and optimism to face our trivial and often boring life from time to time, because what we really have and what we are really creating is every minute of our life.

In other words, "being alive" is a boring thing, a meaningful thing, a happy thing and a painful thing. Because of its various flavors, we call it "live". After all, suffering is precious, happiness is hard to find, and boredom and mediocrity are the most rare.
