Ascend to the throne of the emperor
On June 27th, the first year of Hongxi (1425), Zhu Zhanji officially ascended the throne and began the Xuande dynasty. He gave up his father's plan to move the imperial court back to Nanjing and still regarded Beijing as the capital, mainly because he grew up in Beijing and cared about the northern border as deeply as Judy.
